I'd disagree. Panasonic's plasma range can top all but the most ridiculously expensive LEDs. Certainly when it comes to fluidity and blacks. But this is an aside, so let's not bore everyone. :-p

Nah, my plasma destroys most LEDs unless I were to pay 3x the price! As much as I like my smoking, I like my viewing accompaniment to the smoke too!

Ha - I actually joked to my friend that the point where I consider swapping TV for LED is pretty much where "the line" lies. ;-)

Hey - I have this exact model. They centre light is UV so it only appears to be off. There's even an FAQ on their website mentioning this fact.

Totally disagree. Standards lamps aren't worth the heat/ventilation issues, AND the main fact that you are more likely to be caught via police helicopters looking for hot spots. If you have the money it's waaay the best choice, IMO.
