Looks like a type of budworm, I would look for a predatory species of bug that would eat these little guys (because when there is one.....) and not resort to a pesticide. "Organic" or not I always pesticides as a last resort. Hopefully you caught them early and can nip it in the bud before it...

Your plants are only going to continue to grow. My suggestion would be to bend/LST like Ogonzo suggests and rig up some sort of scrog net to weave into. Next time top those girls early and it might help with your problem in the future.
