    What's eating my Babie o.O

Oh that is CRAPPY, juststarted!! BTW found out it's a friggin earwig that's munching those leaves, if anyone else has these kind of bite marks. Someone suggested putting diatomaceaous earth around the plant - I guess it's rough and is like walking on glass for bugs. I'm putting diluted soapy...

    What's eating my Babie o.O

I don't know who's eating your plant, looks like the same bugger getting mine! GRrrrrr... Mine is outside in the yard. Is yours inside or outside?

third time Auto Lowryder Diesel Ryder

Wow, I see why everyone says great things about this strain! That's a fast grower - your day 13 looks like my day 18! I may have had some stunting from transplant shock, but either way I think your plant is looking really good and you'll make it this time! :bigjoint:

    1st Autoflower backyard garden, multi-strain :D

Hey there, growers! This is my first try at growing autoflowers, and I'm growing my legal medical limit here in Cali with the hope that they will finish flowering before my photosensitive crop starts. I think I have it timed right, anyway... LOL Here are some pics to get started... Haze 2.0...

good seed bank for auto flowers

Oh don't sweat it! I was told about the Barney's auto Sweet Tooth issue after I had one sprout not come up in the soil - lol! I'm attempting the 4th sprout (of 5 seeds) now and it's looking good! :) Also, I ordered the Pineapple Express from Barney's, but I'm growing other strains from other...

good seed bank for auto flowers

Attitude seed bank. I'm growing 2 of the freebies they gave me last year this year! I just ordered 12 seeds yesterday, and they are sending 8 more free. I've ordered both auto and photosensitive seeds from them. Just watch out for Barney's Farm - inconsistent results with their autos...

Preparing for summer, What size containers and what soil?

I'm getting ready for my outdoor grow also! :) 5 gal. containers are kind of standard for "regular" cannabis, but autoflowers need far less soil and something like 9 litre pots (~2gal) are more standard for them. I'm thinking about 3 gals for my autos and 5 gallons for photosensitive this...

    return of the fucking caterpillars

Oh GOD I hate those budworms!! I'm finding damage after hanging branches to dry when it's time to remove the buds. I've even had a few fat caterpillars come out of a bud while I'm trimming, but have never seen them on the plant before I cut it. Next year (LOL) I'm going to spray the dish soap...

    Outdoor flushing...

Hey y'all - Yesterday I bought the handheld microscope everyone says to get and checked my babies, and was SHOCKED to find out I already have an abundance of amber trichomes! It's my 2nd grow, and the clones started flowering every time a cloud went by this year, so it's been hard to judge...

Has anyone used "predatory nematodes" to prevent budworms?

Thanks for your input! The info I have says you spray them on the soil, right, and I'm pretty sure they they burrow into the dirt, which is why they are effective for root aphids and such... I'm thinking having them in the soil will nip the borer larva problem in the bud, so to speak. Oh crap -...

    ear wax concentration?

It sure is! You can find videos on YT that show it's made by heating bho in a shallow pan and stirring consistently until it forms wax. Pretty cool!

Has anyone used "predatory nematodes" to prevent budworms?

At least I think they are called budworms, but since last year there were bore holes in the trees where the little b*stard entered I think it's more like a borer of some kind. We have an outdoor grow. I was thinking of using them pro-actively or as a prevention from it happening again. Not fun...

    looking into bubble bags

I bought the 1 gal. 5 bag set from Virtual Sun to use with last year's leaf that I had in the freezer. I haven't used them yet, but they look very well made with sturdy material and double stitched. Hope someone comes along that has used the bags that can give you a better endorsement! ;P...

Question about going back to veg....

Just this morning I found my Jack Herer had started flowering overnite! It's only 6" tall, kinda makes me laugh really... Anyway, I asked about it here and found out it could be re-planted where there is more sun, and will go back to veg in 2 weeks. I honestly don't know the answer to your...

    Pretentious potheads

PS - I'm calling myself on being a big ol' hypocrite - We grow outside, so have a limited time to grow all our weed for the whole year... We're growing 12 different strains, a combo of S/I & blends because I don't want to get "strain drain!" Hahahaha.... But I'd still never refuse to smoke...

    Pretentious potheads

Love this topic! I guess I'm kind of an older smoker - I'm 46, been smokin for over 30 years, and only 2 years ago got my MMJ recommendation here in Cali - which is when I learned about different strain names and different effects from sativa and indica... I live in the Bay Area of Cali - near...

Is it possible to stop flowering and go back to veg?

Thank you both SO much! I have hope now! +REP for you both :D

    When to start flowering

I think it depends on how tall you want your plants, but normally plants veg for about 8 weeks. I'm sure you could start it now by changing the lighting, but if you have room I'd let them get a little bigger. :) Hope that helps.

Is it possible to stop flowering and go back to veg?

Oh holy smoke - my jack herer was planted too close to the rose bush and is getting less sun than the other 11 plants. It's only 6" tall and I found hairs on it today! I understand that flowering is triggered by the reduced sunlight normally in late July or August. I have a space to replant...
