how much light were they getting outdoor when you had them out in august?. if it was 12 hours or less then a recon thats why its gone into flower. if i was you, id keep it indoors and grow under a light to veg them again.

i wouldn't freeze it imo. wouldn't it add moisture to your buds once it starts to defrost from taking it out the freezer?

those fluorescent cfls aren't bad lights to use, just you need a few of them compared to an HPS, they will grow and do the job though imo.

the calyxes don't swell up until in the last couple of weeks of flowering, although a suppose it might be earlier depending on the strain you were growing.

id give them a shake if its quite bad and theres no sun to dry them out, but if it rains and the sun comes out more or less straight after, then a wouldn't bother.

dabbing your buds with a paper towel will help too.

agree with rollbluntz. imagine the mold on your plants what will develop once your plants have 'defrosted' if you like. you could experiment by taking most of the buds off it and leaving some on, this way if she doesn't pull through, you've still got some bud off her anyways.
