    Heaths Mini Vertical

Well suTraGrow, I'm glad you did. Reminded me of a question I have had in the back of my mind. Heath, I grow colosseum style with three tiers of coco filled hempy style buckets, drippers for irrigation, and two vertically hung lamps in the center. Simple and it works well, though I would like...

    Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical

Depends on your definition of "work". The gasketed fittings provide an obvious advantage. Would it be optimal? No. Would I do it? No.

Critical Mass Tree Grow x 2

I veg horizontally and then move them into the vert to flower. In the vert the plants still grow upward although it is a good idea to "lead" them a bit - hang the bulb just above the height of the canopy.

    Black Rose Seed Run.

Congrats Skunko - Black Rose is on my wish list too. Let us know how the grow goes. Are you starting a journal?

    Heaths ghetto grow.

Soil pipe no. SDR-35 yes. Just google it. Here's one source (dunno if they are reliable or not): https://keithspecialty.com/dwv.gasketed_sewer_main.htm If you use standard non-gasketed pipe you are asking for leaks and other headaches.

    Heaths ghetto grow.

In the UK it is called soil pipe. In the US it is called SDR 35.

    Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical

Hey Jigfresh, What size pipe are you using. It seems that the 4 inch pipe may only support very short veg times. I wonder if 6 inch would be ideal for roots and if it would be worth the extra cost and running weight (it will be loaded with much more water). I'm still deciding which way to go...

    Tripp's hillbilly flooded tube copy

IAm5toned I cannot really picture it. You may want to try creating a picture with Google Sketchup. trippgordon, why did you glue the pipe together? The reason to use SDR 35 is that it provides a leak free seal with no need for glue. There is a silicone lubricant that makes joining them easier.

    hempy collective re-vised

You can use just about any hydro nutrient schedule with hempies. You feed every time you water and let the runoff go to waste. People usually mix up enough solution to feed them for a week or two then change out the contents of the reservoir. Keep an air stone in your reservoir to keep things...

Your creation is impressive! What size bulb are you running in that and what size rez and pump are you using? I'd really like to hear what you come up with in strain selection.

I use 3% - I still need to order the 35% stuff. Google it and decide how you want to use it. I just began adding it to my res.

    hempy collective re-vised

One hole two inches from the bottom is most common - I would go with that. Unless you are using organics (which is generally not recommended) there should be very little organic material in the water and with all the oxygen available the anaerobic bugs are not going to get a chance to grow so...

    hempy collective re-vised

You do not have to have a reservoir but then it will not be a hempy and then all the information on hempy buckets would not apply. If you want to use hempies you will have to suffer the reservoir.

    hempy collective re-vised

I sprout my seeds in water with H2O2 and Clonex - I want them to get thoroughly soaked. Once the seeds have sprouted I move them to mini hempys (styrofoam coffee cup with a hole in the side) with a 60/40 mix of coarse perlite and Canna coco (serves the same purpose as vermiculite without the...

    Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical

Heath, Welcome back! There is something about your system I really do not understand. How do you manage the water in the pipes with such a small reservoir? I do not believe the res will hold all of the water in the pipes and I am wondering how you manage water changes, system drain, etc. I know...

    Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical

Sherribery. I was trying to gently steer you toward something so you would not continue to hijack this thread with your cool new design. That didn't work so I will be more direct. Perhaps you should open a new thread for those interested in what you have to say. This thread is about Heath...
