Has anyone else tried a progressive light and nutrient schedule?

One of our instructors at school suggested it, I tried it, it worked great, so I thought I'd pass it on. Everyone seems to be hung up on the traditional 18/6 light schedule and then a sudden drop to 12/12 and a change to flowering nutes and it's usually accompanied by complaints of plant shock...

Have you noticed that your buds aren't as tight with CFL's and T-5's?

I'm not complaining because I like what I'm getting and it's good meds but I've noticed that with both the CFL's of my Aerogardens and the T-5's I'm using over my bubble tubs. There's plenty of buds and they're as good as what I've bought from the dispensary but they're not as compact. HSA

Any body care to venture a guess as to what's happening?

I just switched from three Aerogardens to two six hole bubble tub DWC's and so far so good. Granted this is my first experience with this style of growing and so far I love it but some thing strange is going on in my reservoir. I've never had healthier, happier plants but their nutes are...

New to DWC, (sort of), your adivce and help, please.

A friend dared me to try to grow without my Aerogardens and your DWC method seemed the easiest and most affordable. I couldn't get an email response from Stealth Hydro, who's system I liked the best and was willing to buy, so I figured I'd see what I could put together after watching their...

Not all is Gold that Glitters

This is a warning to any of you who have followed my thinking on a grow cabinet project I've been planning for the last couple of months. Thanks to Sam's Club.com it temporarily fell apart last Thursday. I ordered their made in the USA, heavy duty, largest steel storage cabinet 2'D x 4'W x 6'6"...

Does Anyone Know if There's a "Rechargeable" Manufactured Carbon Filter Available?

I've seen the posts on the DIY's and I'm sure they work but frankly they look homemade. Are there any manufactured that are rechargeable? One that you can change the activated carbon/charcoal when it gets saturated with stink? I'm buying a nice looking steel cabinet and I'll probably have the...

    Page 112 in June's Edition

You guys have given me so many great ideas that one good turn certainly deserves another. The article in next month's issue of HIGH TIMES on, Propagation and Germination, starting on page 112 is one of the best I've read. It lays it out in simple, logical terms that are easy to understand and no...

Is anyone growing in a tent?

I've been thinking about this for a while now. I like the idea of having my grow space closed off from the rest of the house without sacrificing a room and hopefully it'll be stink and light tight. I grow with Aeriogardens, not aeroponics, but the patented self contained growing system. Lighting...

Can Anyone Give Me a Recommendation on a Tent Brand?

I'm considering it as an alternative to having to give up my guest room as I have done in the past. I also want to get away from the smell in my home. I grow my meds with two and sometimes three Aerogardens, not aeroponics, but the registered trade mark growing system. They fit nicely on a...

This week's Aerogarden school subject is starting your garden with the Starter Tray."

Admittedly I've been a fan of Aerogarden's Starter Tray for a couple of years now and that's how I start my outside spring garden. Potentially you can start 66 plants! More on a lark, I tried it with my favorite herb and it worked great. There's a short video that every Aerogardener should see.

An Aerogarden upgrade kit at a hell of a savings!

It won't work for me because I already have one for each of my Aerogardens. Sadly, I think I paid around $110 each. They have them on sale this weekend for $79.95 and free shipping! Why didn't they have this deal when I was buying mine? The upgrade kit has a three lamps hood, a 24" arm/light...

    School for Aerogardeners

I got an email from Aerogarden this morning announcing some gardening tips they're going to have on their Web site through out this month celebrating, "Indoor Gardening Month." Of course they'll all be related to their legal herbs but a lot of their information should be useful on our magic...

What do you do when they get too tall for your Aerogarden?

This is a problem I haven't had before and believe me I'm not complaining. I'm just hoping my solution to the problem meets with everyone's approval. I stop pruning when they start blooming. With the 24 inch arms that come with the upgrade kit I usually finish my crop with about two inches of...

A sale on the seven holes Aerogarden

This is about what I paid for the ones I gave as gifts to friends a couple of years ago. I'm guessing it's the hood with two round CFL's and eventually you'll want an upgrade kit with the taller arm/light stand and the bigger hood that accommodates three higher intensity flat CFL's but this may...

How does this compare with what you're doing?

9-18-’10 (week one): planted seven seeds in one A/G in A/G cages and pods. Seeds are believed to be three to five years old stored in the refrigerator crisper. Seeds were left in darkness for twenty-four hours. Garden was filled with filtered water only. 9-19-’10: Installed small air pump and...

    A 'bulk sale' at Aerogarden

I found out, quite by accident through an email, and their prices are still high but I think I saved some serious bucks on stuff you just can't get anywhere else. Their lamps, in three packs, are on sale if you buy nine; they're fifty bucks, you save $10. Grow sponges are $19.95 for 125 of them...
