    Flowering Clones

Glad to see your budding clone worked. I had a bad experience doing so. I cloned after veg and used the light exposure to return the clones to the veg state. It worked but also sent the plant into a sort of confused hormonal state. The leaves were twisted and the eventual buds were nearly...

Another rant on early flower outside

Here is an update on the experimental attempt to reveg some Blue Dream clones. Recap: I took cuttings from a Blue Dream 2 weeks after the shift to flowering. The Blue Dream was my winter grow, so the cuttings went in the clone dome around December. The clones grew slowly and I put them outside...

Another rant on early flower outside

And here is a better pic of the budding on the second Blue Dream put outside in March. I'm concerned that @xtsho may be right. The hormonal zig zag may harm the plant's productive potential. More data needed. We'll see how these Blue Dream clones do.

Another rant on early flower outside

As an experiment, I put two clones from an indoor winter grow outside on March 18 (as soon as we had 12 hours of daylight in NorCal). I gave no supplemental light. Today we have 14 hours, 30 minutes, but both clones are clearly budding (see pic) and the fan leaves appear dark green with...

    Coco Loco

Clone is rooted. A bit of root winding in the solo cup (FF Ocean soil), but I've transferred into the FF and Coco Loco mix into a large outdoor container. Hoping the roots will spread out and the plant take to the new outdoor location.

    Coco Loco

Hi all. I'm starting a Blue Dream clone grow in 2/3 Coco Loco and 1/3 FF Ocean Forest. Anyone have any updates?

Coco Loco and Fox Farm feeding Schedule

Hi, @projectpanda831. You have a nice set up for a first grow. Kudos. Since no one has responded, I'll note that a quick search on the forums will help answer most of your basic questions about feeding and light schedules. I'd suggest starting with soil. Soil tends to be more forgiving if...

    Ready to harvest??

@twentyeight.threefive Three weeks seems like a long time! Question: In the last trichome close-up EZ offered, I'm seeing some significant ambering (the 7:40pm pic). Wouldn't the heavy ambering indicate an appropriate harvest time window? Thanks for the info.

    The Purple Leaves Mystery

@ebcrew Do you think it is phosphorus lockout from the low temps? Can a more precise ph level make it accessible despite the temps?

    The Purple Leaves Mystery

Had to look it up, but glad to see it is not some new and deadly parasite sucking the chlorophylic life out of plants. Plus one for the Chicago Defender reference.

    The Purple Leaves Mystery

Here is the Pink Napoli for contrast. Some browning on the fan leaf tips, but no purple. Pink Napoli also ended up much taller. The lack of N in the Big Bloom nutrients may be the cause of Pink's yellowing leaves. I think I'll have time for one more Tiger Bloom feed before harvest in 7 days...

    The Purple Leaves Mystery

Yes, I've kept both at the same light-hour stage throughout. In fact, I was planning to harvest this weekend, but the trichomes don't have enough amber for me to be confident. I'm concerned that the temps are triggering lockout.

    The Purple Leaves Mystery

Hello Forum. Novice grower here with a couple of seasons under my belt. I have a late flowering Blue Dream strain that is showing purple leaves. Foxfarm soil in 5 gal fabric pots. Foxfarm Big Bloom for the first 8 weeks of flowering (3/4 strength). Tiger Bloom Extra Strength for the last 2...

    Ready for harvest

I agree with sf frankie. The pics have a shine on the trichomes, so it is tough to see the opacity. Different lighting might help. Full plant looks about ready, but the trichs will tell. Keep it up!

    Ready to harvest??

Good looking plant. Doesn't looks ready. Seems like it needs more time in many of the full-plant images. Some of the trichome pics look more mature than the full-plant pic. Do I see ambering? On the full plant final pic, I see all sorts of white pistils. It looks like they have haven't browned...

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Yeah, the removable design of the grow tent was key. That initial blasting may have knocked off most of the active mites while the Neem oil dousing immediately afterward suffocated the embedded larva and nymphs. Thanks to @F80M4 I've become an evangelist for Horticultural Oil. It was the...

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Follow up on the spider mite advice from @F80M4 : I took the advice and, instead of doing a reset, I tried to salvage the plants. I've had some success with the techniques F8 outlined. I treated the grow as a lost cause and learning experience, assuming the Blue Dream and Pink Napoli were dead...

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Even clones from professional cannabis shops will import pests? I'm inclined to believe my garage grow space has too much outside exposure.

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Ugh. Thanks for the diagnosis. I just found the telltale webbing. Disappointing? Yes. I even used neem oil as a preventative this grow. Maybe it was too little too late or improperly emulsified. I get the impression that spider mites are bad in CA. Never noticed the issue in my outdoor...
