Out of state but not out of mind

I've heard they aren't processing non-MMJ out of state residents anymore though. Coming from minnesota, I need to find a state where I can be processed as a new patient without having to wait to gain residency in that state.

Out of state but not out of mind

First, I want to apologize if I'm reposting anything. I gotta run out the door to do some paperwork though, so I figured I'd throw this up in the hopes of getting some useful responses. I'm sure there is another thread very similiar to mine out there, but I don't have much time to search. So, I...

    fire hazard?

It wont honestly make too much a difference. Its only about a 100 extra watts which, really in the long run, is not a very noticeable spike. If they ask (Which they likely wont for just 100 watts or so), be honest- tell them you got a new fan and a couple of new replacement bulbs that are a bit...

CFL grow, first time, some basic questions

Wow, so I put my new lights in (2 27 watts CFLs, daylight spectrum. 8 bucks at the home depot), and the amount of bright, white light surprised me. I'm going to have to build an enclosure of some sort pretty soon. I get my next paycheck next week, so I'm going to build a simple carboard...

    fire hazard?

You should be fine. :) Good luck with the grow man. Just remember to make sure your heat doesnt get hot, and to check your cable temps and your socket faceplate temps. One common thing I've seen in electrical fires is people who buy high rated wires or pig strips but use them in low rated...

CFL grow, first time, some basic questions

:) I wear gloves the month I walk out the door. Sterile ones too that get tossed in the incinerator as soon as I'm done. I work around cops alot, I've learned a few tricks here and there.

CFL grow, first time, some basic questions

Hey guys, I'm about a month into growing now. Heh. They're pretty crummy looking, mainly because I was cheap and grew them with a crummy bulb. Just picked up a couple 27W daylight CFLs today though, hoping I can bring the grow back towards something useable. I'm growing two plants, both of them...

    fire hazard?

I'm uh...actually...a firefighter...so... Shhh. >.> But no, its not too much of a firehazrd. What are your lights set to? Also, make sure that your light socket, your power strip, and anything else that runs juice through it, is rated for at the minimum, the wattage and amperage you're flowing...

hide your plants indoors without a grow room?

Try and do what a buddy of mine did. Find an older person that smokes, befriend them to the point that you're toking with them two or three times a week, and after a month or so of this, ask them if you could grow a couple plants at their place. Tell them you'll give a cut of it. 25% is what my...

    Grow out not up!?

If you mean buy a light socket that plugs into a power socket, I believe you can. I had the same question too, and was told you can get them for just a couple bucks apiece.

hide your plants indoors without a grow room?

I started a small grow two weeks ago in the rafters in the garage. Cut up some cardboard boxes, and stapled some alum. foil to them for reflection, then stapled my reflectors to the overhang beams. We store a lot of crap in the rafters, and since nobody really goes up there anymore, its an ok...

First indoor grow journal and pics. Cfl's and dirt cheap!!

Hey wooly, thanks for the idea for the thread, I'm going to post something about that in a bit. I'll do some testing with it on my own first though, but my idea is actually something alot like Videoman's Muffin Fan Odor Killer. Basically, if temps are killer and you're growing in a closet or...

First indoor grow journal and pics. Cfl's and dirt cheap!!

High heats are hard to combat. AC if you can get one, otherwise put the fans on the crop. One thing I've done before to cool a room down, dunno if it would work for plants or not, but you freeze a gallon of water and put it in front of the fan so it blows across the top. It does cool things off...

First indoor grow journal and pics. Cfl's and dirt cheap!!

Fuck man, nice one! Dont worry about lighting too much yet, just get some cheap CFLs to start with. You can expand as time goes on. Just remember, marijuana is called weed for a reason, and although it is possible to mess up real bad and maybe lower your yield, the plant will still usually live...

    First grow CFL bulb question

Yeah man, thanks. I think I might buy a couple of those. I think those combined with Video's ONA muffin fan thing would do wonders for my setup once I get her finished. Plus, perhaps having some of those in the regular light fixtures about the apartment would help cut down on any scent leakage.

    grow room outlet wiring help

Probably, yes. You would likely have to get some extra outlets in there. Always remember that even if a room has like, 4 outlets, most of the time those 4 outlets all go to the same single circuit breaker. Try to estimate your amperage draw on a per-room basis and not a per-outlet basis. If...

    First grow CFL bulb question

Umm...pretty sure that these cfls are designed to eliminate odors. If they dont, then they dont. I'm just wondering if they do what they say they do. http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=152&xSec=40

    grow room outlet wiring help

Its kind of a bitch to switch 120v wiring to 220v. I would say get the 120v ballasts unless you know what you're doing.

    First grow CFL bulb question

Those would be pretty good for flowering. I'm going to try and stick to the daylight lamps for vegging though. I might end up getting those for my flowering plants though, its a lot cheaper to get those then the 12 pack i had posted, even with the wattage difference.

    First grow CFL bulb question

Wiring shouldnt be too much of a problem, I grew up in a family that put a large empathize on DIY stuff. I'll likely just end up buying the money to install an intake/exhaust ventilation system with a charcoal canister on the exhaust line. I'm trying to keep alot of the heavy duty hardware...
