hey guys, i'm about to pick up a 1000w ballast and i have a few questions. i'll be mounting the bulb vertically without a reflector, do all ballasts come with sockets or do you typically have to buy them separately? what sort of price should i expect? what brands do you guys recommend and why?

alright guys. i'd like to duplicate this grow with larger plants. plants will be hopefully be vegged up to 15"+ in DWC and moved to soil for flower. I hope to use 48 5-gallon buckets .. 12 per level, two levels per side. At about 2.5 ounces per plant, thats 7.5 lbs per harvest. right...

alright. i like where this is headed. my question is, how simple can i make this? i want two levels of 3.5-4 foot plants, entirely soil with no drip system. i need to cut costs big time as the lighting is going to be so expensive, so this needs to be as basic as possible. any input?

would be vegging under MH up to 18" and then moving to soil for flower. would it be possible to pull 5lbs+ from under 4x1000 hps at a maximum of 30 plants? i would have to average 2.66 ounces per plant, and at 30 plants that would be 7-8 plants per 1000w light. is this feasible?

also, do you have a black sheet you can use to cover the inside of that closet door? light leaks are the single easiest way to fuck up a plant and it's even easier to prevent.

damn, clean up those wires dude. how long are you planning on vegging for? how tall do you want them to be at harvest? have you considered getting styrofoam pieces from the hardware store to put up as temporary walls on those other two sides while you're not working on the plants? cervantes...

i'll buy new bulbs anyway, it seems pretty ridiculous to spend this kind of money and then blow your harvest because the bulbs were shitty.
