It has much less dust than hydroton. A quick rinse should be enough. I used it a lot since the last post and I love it. Just be careful to not cut yourself, that stuff is sharp... made of glass afterall. Always wear work gloves. gl

The most common "unknown" problem for DWC is nutrient temperatures. You mentioned high room temps so I'll bet a high range on that being the culprit. Don't ever let your DWC solution get over 70 degrees. 65-68 is great. DWCs often use res chillers, etc. I managed to keep my res 10 degrees cooler...

Depends on your split unit. My A/C unit can't be used on the CHHC1 as it resets itself on power down. I just run it on it's own auto settings and it corresponds with the Sentinel within one degree.

That's just WAY too far away. Stretch is inevitable like that. Cool that sucker and pull it down. The light x2s exponentially, the closer you get. I run my 1ks less than 5 inches away...granted I have a light mover AND they're cooled...but anything further than a foot is just wasteful :D...

Hey uhh, there is your problem. PH flux. You really shouldn't do hydro without a ph meter. Doesn't have to be great, get a cheap hanna on ebay for $25... and I recommend ASAP. That one looks a little stretchy...how far is your light away? Did the ones on the outer edge stretch more?

Just make an intake hole at the bottom and put in a backdraft damper. To prevent light escaping in and out, just connect some ducting and "snake it". HTH
