Tons of rust, dried out, no bugs, lots of pics: Please help

The last 3 photos are consistent with radiant heat burning. The edges tend to get damaged and then in bad cases the leaflets will crisp and flake off at the extremeties. Looking at how green the rest of your plant it that is what I think the issue is, the first few shots could be just about...

Should you cut off fan leaves during flowering

Yes everyone, you should remove your leaves during flowering, not just the fan leaves though. Removal of photosynthate storage and production facilities in a plant is key to it's energy intensive flowering development. In fact everyone just remove all the leaves on your plants and you'll get...

24/0 vs. 18/6 debate is over!!!!

Spray your plants with a fine mist under HID lighting and see the results then. What you are trying to assert that a plant, that is not burning in it's present location will start burning once water is added to it's foliage. From radiant heat. That's just nuts, why are you talking about UV...

24/0 vs. 18/6 debate is over!!!!

That's a load of crap. The water can concentrate light where the infra-red energy cooks a pin point of the plant. Plants that are otherwise ok under a lamp do not "burn" form the radiant heat when you add water onto it. This whole 24/0 argument is shit as well because all it ever focuses on...

24/0 vs. 18/6 debate is over!!!!

It has been known for ages that Cannabis is a C3 plant. Cannabis benefits from "a" dark period in any 24 hours far above these silly photosynthetic carbon fixation arguments always rests on. I run 20/4 personally, I would never run 24/0 despite knowing they would grow faster because plant...

    More Moderation.

This is a great forum but half the forums have completely unrelated topics in them. It makes finding relevant material hard. If people want to ask questions that's fine but put it in the right place. :cuss:

    What was "OverGrow"??

It was a website with a massive forum devoted to all things canna, much like this one. I believe it was in canada and was shut down by the authorities in the mid 00's. RIU is the closest thing to it in terms of member count [and thus decent/crap/funny/amazing] threads.

    Lollipopping

God damn it man use paragraphs! I would be interested in seeing a decent grow room efficiency calculator as well. I would imagine they would be easy enough to create in a spread sheet. Anyways kudos if you do the tests and let us know :leaf:

    light cycle question???

I am in favour of dark periods, the plants are and science is too. But for someone who is having a heart attack over the issue you can say "Leaving the lights on won't hurt" they can do what they like but a dark period of some description would be best.

Why not 24hrs. light during VEG.

Trying to mimic nature is usually best, the reason why plants aren't fazed by moonlight is because light in this particular instance is received by phytochrome receptor that responds to the ratios of red/far red light. I doubt it would matter how bright the moon was the plants wouldn't mind...

    Lollipopping

I fail to see how/why this Bob Vs Ben thing is still going. I can see both sides of the arguement, Ben knows botany - and when you start talking plant science rather than "How do u grow dank bud?" arguements over exotic techniques becomes a neck ache, so many people trying to run before they...

Why not 24hrs. light during VEG.

Probably the most simple but profound principle in growing. :)

Why not 24hrs. light during VEG.

Indeed, they don't need it but science would suggest no dark cycle is a stress and Uncle Ben recommends a dark period in his pointers thread within this forum [I hadn't even finished high school when I was reading Uncle Bens advice on Overgrow - he knows his stuff].

Why not 24hrs. light during VEG.

Cannabis clearly doesn't 'need' a dark period during vegetative growth or else there would not be so many successful grows using a 24/0 photoperiod. However as moneybags points out there is a role for stress here... The dark period is used to maintain the plant's cirrcadian rhythm, it's...
