Mycorrhizae safe Ph up and down? Organic PH in gerneral.

Alright, ph in organics, an interesting debate for sure. First off, adding good amounts of humates such as compost, earthworm castings, and others, as well as dolomite limes will help buffer your ph. In addition, checking the ph of your solution prior to watering and adjusting up or down with...

Vegan Organics Aka Veganics With Matt Rize

Cool thread, but if wanting to grow organically, why go out and purchase name brand ferts? I give my plants everything they need with meals, rock phosphates, kelps, ewc, molasses. There is no need to pay big money on the super ultra mega bottled organic fert. Just my opinion.

EBB N FLOW QUESTION? +rep for help!

I'm not hydro anymore, but with shipping costs and such, it is probably cheapest to buy at a local hydro shop. If you don't have any, check out plantlightinghydroponics.com, or wormsway.com, or horticulturesource.com.

EBB N FLOW QUESTION? +rep for help!

No, I wouldn't recommend it. Perlite is good at providing aeration but holds little moisture. Unless you plan on watering many times a day, stick with the hydroton. Or check out coco, I was using coco in my ebb and gro bucket sysytem right before I switched to organics.

    Music and Marijuana

On MythBusters they did an experiment, playing different types of music and also recording their voices speaking to the plants, it was determined that noise benefit the plants, regardless of source. So you could play death metal or classical and the plants wouldn't know the difference. I've...

Greenhouse Seed Co. Trainwreck grow, will this work?

I'm gonna put my babies into 4 inch pots, and then move to 5 gal. buckets. IF YOUR NOT PLANNING ON VEGGING VERY LONG THAT WILL WORK, BUT YOU DON'T WANT YOUR PLANTS TO BECOME ROOT BOUND. I have a few questions, do I transplant the girls into the 5 gal. buckets when its time to start flowering...

    does ph down kill microbeasties?

There's There's no need to ph any of your water. The only place to worry about your ph is in your soil mix. Make sure you have that buffering zone with the dolomite lime or whatever you use and the microherd will do the rest.

A little secret by the name of Humi-Zyme...

Organically based does not mean organic. If you want to keep your grow organic, ditch the product.

    organic fert. tea foliar feeding

Some great items to use as a foliar are alfalfa, and kelp meal. I use these two almost exclusively. Nylon stockings work great for tea bags, you can even get 3 pairs for a buck at the 99 cent store. Lately I've been just throwing everything in my bucket without a bag. I think it gets mixed...

    600 watts + 4X2X6 space + 2 6 inch duct boosters = ?

What's up man, I ran a very similar setup to yours. I had a 600w in a 2x4x5 tent, aircooling the hood with the vortex 6", and just having random fans spread throughout. You'd be legit with the intake and exhaust fans, only thing make it so the intake is on the bottom, and the exhaust is on the...

    Organics For Beginners

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. In nature, the only thing the plants would need are sunshine, rain, and soil(compost). I'm sure you could grow a great crop with just those three, but then we gotta get all crazy with it, adding things the plants would never have seen if it wasn't for...

How Do I Get Started in Organics?

Glad to hear that man. Since switching over, I am even more addicted to growing, it seems all I ever think about are different things I could use, or different ways of mixing them. Good luck with your next grow, you should notice the quality difference right away, nice stinky nugs. It's what I...

can grow start to finish with just molasses?

Yes, I just posted a thread called Organics for beginners, the first nute recipe only requires plain water( by plain water it means liquid Karma and molasses) but that will get you through. Molasses by itself is not sufficient though.

How Do I Get Started in Organics?

I recommend calling ahead to make sure. If they don't have it in store, they could always have it shipped to the store, most the time for free, but if they are asses, they might try to charge you. But lowes has some good stuff. Just trying to save you a trip.
