t5's are great for veg, they provide plenty of light and you can get single sunblaze t5 setups for 30 bucks. or u can get the 4-8 bulb.

if you are using hid lights you will want cool air. usually one of the closet walls wil be an exterior wall. i used to run 6 inch ducting through the wall and i pulled air from under my house(nice cold air) and no light. or you can go right through the floor, you can hook up inline fans to pull...

i was at a local club here and they had strawberry dream, looks like db with a sweeter smell, great stuff, cant wait to get my hands on one of those clones. and yes the cross is exactly what you would think.
