Well, I was having a deficiency while using AN ph perfect mid flower. I started adding the nitrogen free cal mag they have to my ebb and flow res. and it cleared up.

33 days into flower

very close to the lights for a while, about 12” from the se hps, and 18 ish from the de hps but so far no burning of the tops. Still looking great

Old post, but also made by where I live in Michigan. Even installed a minisplit in the guys shop where he makes it. started using after that day and have had great results.

An Update, Definitely didn’t expect this much of a stretch on my first grow, but they still look good so far being this close to the lights.

What I did after the initial post is fill the buckets to the bottom of net pots with expanded clay, flooding to about 1” up the Rockwool twice a day until they dropped down, then flooded Just below the net pots 3 times a day, then 4 now 5 during lights on and one when they are off

Great advice on the oil filled heaters, ran a new 15a circuit and plugged in an oil filled heater. Holds 73° during the night perfectly now.

I just upped it to 4 times during 12 hours lights on and one time when lights off, from 3 times during the 18 hour lights on.

Sealed and cooled room with 3,000 watts of hps. I’m using a co2 generator during lights on and having good results. It’s getting cold here in Michigan so my lights off temps are dropping to 58-60°. Rather than buying a heat pump or heater, has anyone ran the co2 generator at night on a...

And if anyone has any advice/criticism it’s all welcome.

In case anyone runs into this, first grow with homemade system seems to be working fine, I filled the buckets with hydroton, added a blue lab guardian, and just switched to flower. Maybe a grow journal when all is done.

It’s only happening with one strain, so I’m thinking it might be genetic? But seems weird to me because they’re growing well still. Only happening to the 5 Mac 1 I have right after topping, not to the other 7.

I do have two hanging but wasn’t planning on turning on the second until I start flowering, maybe running both and getting two MH bulbs might speed things up a bit? And I did just...

Yes, Currently all I have, and heard it would work fine. Maybe I would get better results bringing a MH in there?
