I was talking to a friend about herb and he brought up something an old timer mentioned to him about using a razor to split buds in half, i guess it's suppose to make the bud sap with thc boosting resin/potency.. anyone know if it's possible and why it might or might not work? just found it...

I recently harvested my first pant. and hung it upside down to dry, but the buds come out really loose and flaky. i did a small batch in newspaper to press it a bit more together and the buds came out nice and dense but didnt have that "bag appeal" looking like proper buds you buy. hehe.. thanks for the info.. i have a little fan to move air since its only gonna be a first time run with a plant to 2 at most.. and i know strains vary, kinda why im putting this little outline together for myself so i can keep it on hand.. weather it takes my plants longer or less to flower...

one more question i hate to ask in response to this.. germination - 2 days to a week seedling - 2 weeks vegging - totally your option - depends on strain, available space, desired harvest date - say 2 to 6 weeks flowering - 6 to 12 weeks depending on strain and desired properties of weed...
