I run a 400w MH on a 14 gauge ext. cord with a timer, I also have other stuff plugged in to it like fans and such with no problems.

I would not do the 24 hours darkness, wouldn't that encourage it to flower?. You can switch em' to 20-4 or 18-6 but I would then keep them on that time because messing with the light and dark times will stress the plant further.

I am using a 400w MH with the SolarMAX gold horticulture bulb, and two 45w cfl's at the sides.
