It seems like the best commercial lights you can get nowdays perform the same as the DIY stuff we built @ 2015-2016 Cree CXB 3590 at 700ma was producing 64% efficiency or 2.95 umol/j with cooler Kelvin temps (good for veg) and high bin you could get even higher efficiency
