Lets Talk RI Extractions! Methods/ trends/ Pics etc... (C02/ BHO)
Hey Everyone!
I thought it might be a good idea for us local RI people to start to talk about all things Concentrate! I know and have seen first hand how popular they have become. I've gone from being a bud snob to an oil snob now haha! I pretty much now only smoke oil and even have sunk to buying a sick rig.
How about everyone else? Was it hard to give up flowers and medicate only with concentrates?
For me as a long time Organic Grower who loves his plants like children it really was! Then I got use to it. haha
I want to start experimenting with bubble hash, BHO, and PG/VG tinctures. When I start talking to people about herb the look at me like I'm either speaking Greek or blowing their minds. I feel alone
lets hear your methods of getting this, i am new to learning more then smokin just the buds lol, interested!!!!

Mostly only oil for myself also. Should be a warning that once you start dabbing you wont be able to fully appreciate nugs again.
I personally started looking into different types of extractions and stopped listening to what everyone told me and all these videos on the internet told me. I honestly thought I had my method down at least 4 different times untill i finally got to this final stage. I use very small amounts of butane during extractions. In addition to that I use a vacuum pump with a desecator to vac purge out the gasses. While I am purging i use low heat. Just enough to where the terpenes do not get burned off. That way your oil will retain its full flavor. Also if you have the money and make larger runs of oil a vacuum oven is a great thing too look into!

Once you cross the line with oil its hard to go back. haha I love some good tasting, clean oil! Mmmmmmm
I want to make BHO but I can't afford to buy all the equipment now like vacuum, amount of bud, etc...
i just started making Green dragon which is great and a nice way to ease into things.
This little baby, the vaporX combined with a propylene glycol tincture may be the best thing yet. Still waiting on my tincture to cure. Looking forward to,see what happens.
Did a nice little run this weekend of some DeadHead OG Kush flowers! Used the Vacuum Oven to purge out all the impurities. Crystal Clear!!!oilforum.jpg
I am going to be submitting this for Potency and impurity analysis this week! I anticipate a High THC considering it was extracted from flowers that tested at 23%. Also based on the look of the oil/shatter and the time in the vac oven, I feel really good about the impurity levels that may be present inside this oil!
