Not if you have a qualifying condition that has been previously documented and a compassionate Doctor. I obtained my card recently for chronic persistent pain. My injuries and chronic conditions were well documented so I had no problem once I found a compassionate prescribing physician. I went to 11th state consultations. The wait for my appointment was 6 weeks and then another 5 for the DOH process. I wish you well 400watts Good Luck

Did you already ask your General Practioner? Most family Dr's are more apt to signing the reccomendations now in RI... SOunds like your reason is valid

Call 11th state consultations they will guide you through the process and set up an appointment date for you if they believe you qualify. They do a phone interview first.
