You need to make a certain number of posts to be able to use the private message system, including responding to those I send you. Add an 'at Gmail' to my handle and hit send...
I figure you're the man to talk to. I'm going to be building a new flower room for a perpetual sog with three 315 cmh bulbs. From the bottom bulb to the top bulb, I will have all 3 within a 4 ft space. What diameter ring should I go with? Would keeping the plants 1 foot from the bulbs be too much?

    Thanks!

Shit I hope not. But I'm.still new to indoors. I'm.trying to keep the wattage on the lower side. The country I'm in monitors this kind of stuff closely. The plants shouldn't get much taller than 4 feet
You have any threads or pics of that grow? Mine will be in a colosseum type set up btw

Greetings. I have a question on what type of lights I should be using. I am currently running 2 LEC 315s with 5 plants under each light. I was wondering which lights I should get in order to get the most yield, but I only have a 120v output.

I'm a big fan of quantum boards.
I was reading through the 315w lec thread.I'm debating between a 315w lec and cobs for a 3x3 or 4x4 tent. Can you recommend a prebuilt cob or kit that doesn't require soldering?
I know you have a lot of experience with the Philips 860 watt AllStart lamps and I keep hearing about a "burn in" procedure for them but I cannot find much info on it, are you familiar with the process? And I bought a couple lamps from an Amazon.com seller for $60/ea but everyone else is around $100, is there a way to tell if they are actually used and not new?

I just compared some pictures online of sellers on ebay and such to the ones I bought and the pit in my bulbs definitely doesn't look any darker. Yeah that is kind of weird lol, I was looking all over trying to figure out where the hell these little glass fragments could have come from haha.

Hey there main man! I have been enjoying an old post of yours about using dry nutes for different stages of plant growth... like plant prod 20 20 20 for veg..15 30 15 for bloom and 8 20 30 for late flower plus calcium nitrate, magnesium, and mkp as a bloom booster for all of the above..are you still doing that? Or have you stumbled upon something else?
Thanks for all the info you have posted on the site. I'm starting a new rdwc soon. I've read several of your post referencing the hydro-gardens 5-11-26 mix. Do you have any experience using their 4-20 mix?

Hi I could use some advice I had a mite problem and have used a product called yates super shield (was reccommended to me for mites) which contains 4.4g/litre myclobutanil and 9.6g/litre tau-fluvalinate. Now I'm having problems with the top of the buds which are turning brown and leaves turning yellow. They are currently in the 6th week of flowering.

Could be wrong, but aren't the 1818s better? You should also get 3500k. The 4000k's close, but I don't think I'd use the 6500k. It won't be necessary to get that spectrum thing like with MH/HPS down pat when you have COBs. They're pretty intense and work for both stages. I use 3500k (warm white.) Not trying to tell you what to do, though.

Looking now the CWL VegMaster is closer to the 3500k than the 4000k, also can use this light for flowering if anything :)
In regards to Bud factor x I think you might want to take at this link. I am sure there is magnesium in it, but the main active ingredient is chitosan. ..it is not written on the packaging anywhere...I just did a search on DIY Bud Factor X and they talk about this "secret" ingredients in the following link, I was just wondering if you knew the concentration the recipe they suggest.https://youtu.be/pKJHTNY-j38
