do you really understand the intent? after bringing the richest state in the union to the brink of bankruptcy, our government is attempting to reach a little further into the pockets of its citizens to make up for its own mismanagement. under the guise of protecting the environment and aiding the poor, these bureaucratic louts are trying to fund their do-nothing social programs and open door immigration policies by raping their citizens and taking control of those businesses they have painted as evil. the intent is not to spread the wealth, but to consolidate control within the corrupt halls of government and strip the people of their rewards for the risk and effort involved in succeeding in a state that is already far from business friendly. they are essentially saying, "go ahead and work your ass off, but we're gonna take half of it as soon as you're done".

the result of such legislation is obvious, the mass exodus of private wealth from the state and the creation of a socialist welfare state in what was once a thriving economy. after decades of wasting taxpayer money on nanny state regulations and welcoming every illegal alien criminal with open arms through the creation of sanctuary cities and "don't ask - don't tell" type policies, we are now being told that these excesses must be supported by stripping our citizens of the right to excel. we have been told that immigrant labor is essential, while our own poor either languish or are supported by the state. we have been told that our own sacrifice is needed, while government freely spends in order to expand its own popularity among the influx of the poor and to increase its own wealth. we are now being told that success is unacceptable and that mediocrity is demanded.

after living in this state my entire life, i have watched as the last vestiges of fiscal conservatism have been invaded and overwhelmed by the rabid forces of government waste and the overflow of poverty from our neighbors to the south. i have watched as the movements for freedom and individuality have been usurped by those who desire only the power to control our population and their ideals twisted by totalitarian puppets. there is little hope of a turnaround, get out while you can.
