I'd question that number ....where did it come from? As far as I know the census is only done every 4 years so what was the number in 2004? Certainly it didn't go from 0 in the years 2000 to 2007 and then jump to 10% in one year.

Also, I suspect that number is not accurate as illegals generally hide from census takers. I'm not being racist here... but the fact is that most illegals in this Country are from our Southern neighbors.

I couldn't agree more ... as long as they better themselves at their own expense.

Our current policy pertaining to illegal immigration is nothing more than promoting modern-day slavery. Illegals hide in the shadows, do menial work for low pay and get cheated and abused by those seeking cheap labor. They pay evil "Coyotes" criminally high fees to get across the desert safely. Many of those who don't pay die of thirst in the desert.

There's a better way. Wait in line and immigrate legally just like our ancestors did. Either that, or the citizens of Mexico should change the political system in Mexico that currently favors the powerful over the individual. That proposed change would do exactly what our Constitution is intended to do. Its what has provided us with our abundent life style here ... and exactly what the Mexican immigrant is seeking. They have a rigged system down there south of the border that's controlled by a few families. Mexico needs a revolution.
