Telcos can, and do, log IPs...They're kept in simple ASCII files associating an IP to a MAC address which is easily traceable to the home and MAC addresses don't change. Every ISP has a range of IPs associated to their domain(s). All too easy to trace, log, and identify.

OK Joe, so we are to blame. Now please tell me what "we" can do about it. I have my weapons, but if I go out in the middle of my street with a gun and yell, "who'll join me in the fight for freedom"? what do you expect will happen, will the people come out of their houses with guns and say "lets march to city hall", or more likely will they sit behind closed doors and call 911 saying there is a crazy man in the street with a gun. If I knew people would risk their necks to follow what they believe is right, Id be the first in the street with my gun rounding them up. guns wont help, I hate to say it, but the only thing that will open eyes is a stock market crash.Once the greed is gone were left to deal with the issues at hand.
