after years of enslaving the lower class with their welfare state mentality, the liberal elite has no wish to enslave the middle class. their goal is to decimate it, to even out that playing field so that we can all live in the sort of comfortable poverty to which they think we should become accustomed. while the progressive leadership joins the rich in lording it over us mere peons and petty bureaucrats line their pockets by skimming off of a myriad of corrupt social programs, the rest of us can all march to a jaunty martial tune courtesy of an obama expanded military.
what seems pretty lame is that anyone could possibly believe the false promises of change and the smooth patter of just another huckster. yes, obama will most likely make it to the oval office. thanks to an ignorant public, sick to death of eight long years under the leadership of a moron and his henchmen, we will all get to see first hand what the true road to fascism looks like. | Do you have a positive bone in your pathetic body. We've seen it before in other times, undertheice. You've obviously read your history ... and I've lived it. All one has to do is to watch the old news-reels of the public's devotion to Mussolini, Hitler, Mao and Stalin. Throngs of people chanting slogans with politicians offering the old bromides of change for the sake of change.

I can even agree with his assessments, but please, let us have some hope. We can all sit here and cast aspersions on Obama, or we can look at the positive side. Maybe something positive will come of his presidency. Hell, if he just stops the insane war he'll have done more for sanity that anyone in the last 12 years.

Right... I didn't tell MM what to believe, but rather "maybe you should take heed". But to not have your own opinions and NOT able to voice your opinions without fear of malice, is unAmerican. (I wasn't trying to attack MM, but rather telling him to keep an open mind.. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Also, I know your post was not an attack towards me.)
