| | War Funding Bill and our Democratically Controlled Senate... | | Well the last War Funding Bill of this current Administration passed the Senate and was signed by Bush. This bill provides enough funds to continue the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq well into 2009 for the next POTUS.
The Senate passed it by a wide margin....92 to 6 in fact. Senate Leader Reid voted "Yea" as did Obama...

So anyone still believe Obama intends to pull us out of Iraq? You know what I find interesting? The media has announced the POTUS' signing of the bill, yet not one mention of Obama's vote in favor of funding it into 2009.
I like to play "connect the dots" in situations such as this. I look at Obama's vote for this bill, that does not include a timeline once again for withdrawal, and I look at his promise to increase the military by upwards of 100,000 more troops and I draw the conclusion that he really has no intent for withdrawing from the Middle East. |

| | Did you read this bill?
Also, have you read previous funding bills? This one is much more restrictive than ones in the past? |

The bottom line is that this bill funds the wars into next year and once again (big surprise here) sets no timeline for withdrawal. And the anti-war Obama voted for it as did Hillary. I'm sure MCain would have to had he been present. |

| | didn't obama say he would slowly withdrawl the troops over 16 months after he was elected.........meaning there will still be troops there througout 2009............so wouldn't those troops need funding during the process of slowly withdrawing from the occupation of Iraq?

If his intent is to withdraw, why the need for additional troops? |

| | Iraq is only one more step into the New World Order. The troops will be drawn down as soon as Iraq is completely secured so that the next step (possibly Iran) can be taken. Our presence in Iraq will be there for the far reaching future. The construction of our HUGE embassy and military installations are a testament to that. Its all about building the World Utopia at the expense of the American taxpayer. Vi
