this is the era of the great lie. we are given skewed statistics and the results of studies sponsored by paid experts to show us why we are wrong. we are fed half-truths and spectacle to keep us amused. our fears are amplified and played upon to keep us distracted. the information age has given way to the misinformation age, soon to become the disinformation age.
The era of the big three networks ended with the emergence of 24-hour news outlets. It did not end the systematic mind control achieved from spoon feeding pablum called news into our gaping maws. Rather, the new news outlets, relied on sensationalism to grab and hold viewers.

The internet era changed everything. True, there's more bullshit. But the internet made dissent legitimate and the bloggers found themselves seated at the table at a party they crashed.

The internet has allowed us to judge for ourselves what is newsworthy.

Look what the internet has done for the cannabis movement. Suddenly we discovered the ability to communicate with each other worldwide. I can see decriminalization becoming a reality in my lifetime.

I seriously doubt de-criminalization will happen before my short life expires. It seems rather incredible that the government would make a plant illegal, craszy hay the farmers used to call it. It has been politicized way too much and the Stigma of "illegal drug" has been force fed the public for 70 years. The few thousand/million that come to these pro cannibis sites do not make a majority.
I have no opinion either way since I don't smoke, I have smoked for years. The excitement of the illegality of it made it more of a thing than the actual high, One always thought they were getting away with something, getting over on the government, How dare they tell us what we can and not put in our body.
Now that I have endured sobriety for close to 20 years, I actually enjoy not being high and wonder if being high is the answer. You who worship cannibis may be worshiping false Idols, I know not. I did enjoy the first 30 years of pot smoking and don't condemn anyone for smoking it, I'm just not sure being stoned all the time is the answer.

Perhaps. My point is that a sea-change in U.S. drug policy will have a groundbreaking impact on our economy, culture, penal system, law enforcement, civil liberties, foreign affairs, agriculture, etc. I believe cannabis has the power to make us a more tolerant, forgiving and open-minded society.

Ronald Reagan had an "agenda"..........

And "we" don't have to partake in this consumption. Focus your oil induced energy (free time) on something other than TV, newspapers (AssociatedPress?, hey at least they're honest, uh, about the "Associated" part, that is),etc., and things really are looking up.......is anybody listening?...........

3 suggestions......Limbaugh, Lewis, and Levin, speaking of listening.

We should all do our part.....clandestinely smoking in public, to get the smell out there. Telling others we know we smoke and enjoy it, especially if we're successful. etc. Although, we might have a powerful ally coming to our defense. This public ban on tobacco is really pissing people off, and, by virtue of their anger, many are seeing the light. "Who the fuck is government anyway?" "What gives them the right?"..............me and you, my friend, me and you..........

Oh, yeah. I've long held that as tobacco becomes more prohibited, cannabis would become less prohibited. Eventually a balance will be struck.
