Default National healthcare and MM
So me and a friend were talking the other day and he brought up something I had never thought of before (neither had he actually just a spur of the moment thought). So here is the concern; if health care becomes nationalized are states with medical marijuana laws going to lose the ability to care for their sick with marijuana. If medicine and thus dr's are controlled more by the federal government will they stop being allowed to write prescriptions for MM. I personally and I'm sure many other people around here think that healthcare is a right and not a priviledge. Does anyone else know if this would be the case if and when we move closer to nationalized healthcare.

I don't have a clue. But it makes sense that doctors would be left to doctoring instead of being business men.

Why do you think Health Care is a right and not a privilege? It was not written in the constitution that Health Care is a right. What about illegal immigrants, do they too have a right to health care?

I believe health care is grossly overly priced. Its a sin that people have to pay so much for health insurance (or the actual bill, if you don't have HC) because the hospitals charge and arm and a leg.

For example, I knew I had strep throat and I went into the ER because I was really sick and needed some meds. So the Dr. ran a throat culture and it showed positive for strep. The Dr. spent a total of approximately 20 mins (or less) with me and my bill was 550 dollars for the hospital bill!!!!! The pills only cost me 15 dollars or so...

Anyways, I think health care should be more reasonably priced, but I don't think it should be a right.. Just my humble opinion anyways.

On second thought. I would rather see the money go towards health care than being spent on bombing Iraq and, than after, rebuilding their infrastructure.

I would rather see the money go towards health care than spending millions on other BullShyt that our gov't spends it on.

If they are going to take 1/3 of our pay, they should at least help us out in some way instead of paying off the interest for an unjust system- the "Federal" Reserve.

Healthcare is not a "right," its something that is earned. There is no such thing as a right, when that right is obtained at the expense of violating someone else's rights.

Now then, there is a difference between healthcare and health care. Notice the space between the two words in the latter case. Healthcare is what is being sought by socialists by violating the rights of others. Health care is what we provide for ourselves by living a healthy lifestyle.

And they have plenty of high taxes to pay for it and all the resulting unemployment. No free lunch anywhere.

I like it.

Who cares what anyone thinks except for you? The truth is in the eyes of the beholder.... right? I bet you would make a million dollars is you came up with a nifty bumper sticker/slogan saying "pay for our healthcare and not bombs! Thanks Mr. Gov't", or something to that extent. Give it a whorl MM, if you make a million, just remember me.. I could work for you(I need a job)

Hey MM, I bet when you saw the title of the thread you thought he was talking about you.... You know, "national healthcare and MM", you were like "Whats going on now? What did I do?" .... HAHA, sorry, I'm kinda baked right now and I'm not trying to offend you at all... Just a thought
