| | vredd | | Why is it that you treat me with such disdain, does a hint of the truth so upset you that you must take umbridge with my every postulate. Just because I can't reference my every comment with some page # out of a book, does not mean I made it up. I've been reading articles and books for fifty+ years. to remember where I got my information would be impossible. Do I concede that all my information might not be entirely factual to the letter, yes. I am commenting from my general knowledge of the subject matter and not the specific facts as read. If this does not suit your standards, then skip my posts and read others that agree with you and stop picking my posts apart. |

| | ummm ... you misunderstand. All I would like you to do is either provide a link, or state your source for your information. Statements like the one above about top execs using heroin just doesn't fly unless you can prove it.

PS: And by the way ... and I know this is really hard for liberals to grasp ... but get a sense of humor, fer cryin' out loud. |

| | V | | I have a healthy sense of humor, I just get tired of being spanked by someone whom thinks their Ideas superior to mine. I like this forum as it lets me vent my frustrations, If my rants don't appeal to you, don't read them, just move on to the next persons rant. Did I ever say "someone of your ilk"? That is demeaning and sophmoric! I really don't like my rants being compartmentalised and scrutinized by anyone other than maybe the moderator. If you come here to tear down Ideas that differ from yours, grow up. we all have opinions and that is what this forum is about! |

| | vredd | | I don't exactly like being typed. I am a myriad of ideas and beliefs, some maybe not so foriegn to yours. I believe, for one thing that we have in common, that every human should earn his way. The difference is that not all of us have the same chance to succeed, no matter how hard we struggle. I would, if given the chance, level the playing field, by, how dare me, re-distributing the wealth. This will never happen in our lifetimes, so not to worry! I only hope my grandchildren can have a more fulfilling life than me. The problem is, with the world in the state it is, I really don't see a bright future, so hope is the only thing I have. I will do everything I can to help them succeed, but by not being wealthy, they will not have the same chances. How can a young person starting out today afford a house, the american dream. When I started, my first house was $17,500 and I made 3.30 an hour, a general median wage at that time (working class). Today the working class wages have gone down compared to the cost of living. Lets say the median wage is 12.00 an hour, I think that A high figure, the median house is something like $360,000. no-one can qualify. If I had to buy my house now, I couldn't afford it, My shack,(I love my house) would sell for about 330,000. who got rich? the real estate agents! |

| | I think I see where medican' is coming from. He agrees that people that have earned their money honestly through hard work should keep it, but the one's that haven't, say born into royalty should not.
It's a difficult argument to defend as it makes you sound bitter that you haven't achieved all you wanted to in your life. Money isn't happiness, it's just a different quality of life. True happiness is either in you or it isn't, money can not buy it. Money can buy extra misery but never happiness.
I really do not care about wealth as I've always known that one day I will be wealthy. Even if I get to 65 and beyond I will still believe it. Ever tried writing fiction medican'? It's very fulfilling as you can mix your views into the plot, you can make money at it too.
Medican', how much time you looking if you get caught cultivating on a big scale, say 1,000 plants? |

| | skunk | | Probably 5 to life. There's an iniciative on the ballot this year to make minor possesion basically legal and although I haven't gotten my sample ballot yet, I believe you can grow small amouts also. With this comes much stiffer penalties on mega-growing and sales. You wouldn't want to get caught with a thousand plants of any size, sounds like you've got your retirement planned out, one way or another! |

| | yes I do, and I've got a lot more than a 1,000 in mind. The sentencing here would be about the same. For big scale you'd get about 5 years, life is an option too but you'd never get that. My idea is to make as much money as I can and clean it because if the Government over here can prove you made it through crime they'll take it off you. I have several methods of doing this. When all is said and done I want a crop big enough to make me a million (my end) within the next three years. Call this greedy if you like but it's all about perspective. A million to one man is a drop in the ocean, yet an ocean of cash to another. Obviously it's going to take a bit of building to get to this level as at the moment I have only 19 budding females, we're trying to hermy the other one. This is my first grow and it's mainly been just a big learning experience, the next one will be better and the one after that will be amazing.
I really don't see it as greed as I want the best for my children. The scales I'm thinking of achieving are for my family. |

| | skunk | | I guess I dont need to tell you to be careful, like watching the power bill, Etc, Over here the new thing is growers(mexican mostly) renting a house in an upscale neighborhood, and turning the whole house into a garden. They break through the wall on the inside of the House and tap into the power before the meter, black out the windows, and set up lights all over the place. You could probably do a thousand plants in a 2500 sq. ft. home. they have been busting them all over the place in Ca. Might give you some Ideas! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
