I'm from down south, but I recently was checking the news on my phone and saw an article about Mendocino County, California possibly repealing the law that made it legal for medical marijuana patients to grow in their own homes??? I hope this isn't truly the case because it would be a blow to decriminalizing marijuana. It talks about how "organized crime" has moved in and started growing in large amounts. My argument is that Cali. is heavily populated and indoor growing in large quantities goes on in every state with a demand for marijuana. The only people who are going to get hurt from this are the legal marijuana patients who are following the laws. Anybody have any info. on this please post what you know. I'm just referring to the article i read. Hope it's not a done deal. peace!

If Mendocino County tried to pass that ordinance it would immediately be struck down as unconstitutional in Cali's Supreme Court, because it would be in direct conflict with what the citizens of Cali have already determined must be allowed.

Well, they DID pass the law ... at least it won on the ballot. But you're exactly right. Its in violation of state low (SB 420). The very same thing happened in San Diego. The Country Supervisors decided to work in tandem with the DEA in shutting down the compassion clubs. The courts shot them down.

Yes, I've been to Mendocino plenty of times ... and will be going again in three weeks. We have a "meeting of the minds" there every year. Well, at least a "Meeting of The Heads." ~lol~

When it came time to vote on this issue last Tuesday, only 34% of the voters turned out to vote. My "in the know" friends up there are totally pissed off at their fellow growers for not voting on the issue. Lazy assholes! The entire economy up there is dependent upon good marijuana crops. Half of the residents are growers ... and the other half are bankers. ~lol~

And Med ... as far as your stupid comment, let me assure you that some of the best, nicest, smartest, hardest working people I've ever met are growers in Mendocino County.
