For those that don't know what today is, It's Memorial Day. It's the day we remember the fallen heros that have given their lives for whatever causes the government deemed necessary at the time. I say Given their lives, it is more like they were taken by a system that uses young men to fight old mens battles. You can chalk up another 4,000+++ to G.W. Bush this memorial day, and pray that more warmongers like McCain don't get to lead this once great country. McCain would surely bring much more death and destruction to bear.
Being one of the priveledged that got to be put in harms way, I feel I have a voice on this subject, and believe me, I surely wouldn't have given my life to any cause. It may have been taken by circumstance but given, never. That is just jingoistic bullshit forced on us by a government that may want to use your children for cannon fodder..,Don't believe the bullshit! Remember the fallen and believe these heros did not give up their lives, they were taken by greedy old men that sit in their Ivory towers and make the rules.

Amem my brother....couldn't have said it better. My son just got back from fighting "their" war and I did my part back in the 80's -90's. This country is headed for a ruuuuude awakening if we don't change our ways....or should i say get "Big Brother" to change its ways. I love my country but i hate those who "pretend" to lead us.

I agree med ... but do you think they could have gotten away with all of this if not for 911? ... You think they could have broken national and international law with out it? You really think their benefiting monetarily and power from this is just a coincident?

... and it's way more than 4000 soldiers those are just the ones that died on the battle field ... they don't count the one that died from their wounds or from DU ... that a secret ... along with the bullshit the corporate media rolled over to when they said that couldn't take picture of the coffins ... that so we won't see the true body count ...

The powerbrokers needed an enemy, and what better enemy than "Terrorists". Since terrorists have no country, you can attack any country you declare to be with the terrorists, remember, "You are either with us or against us", "anyone that harbors a terrorist will be considered a terrorist", "We will hunt them down (Terrorists) no Matter where they try and hide". That pretty much opens the door to attack anyone at any time. Making terrorists the enemy was brilliant.
