Whats 5-10 bucks a gallon to you, small change. Remember when Bush took office, Gas was 1.20 a gallon. He's trippled it ++! | I am curious on how you believe its the republican's fault. Your only reasoning is that Bush made his money from off shore oil refineries, but what has he done to make the gas prices high? You believe its his fault but I want to know exactly, on paper, what he has done to put us in the situation we are in, please.

It is well documented that Bush and his cronies have had oil interests for years. If A+B=C, then this simple formula should make one want to look deeper into this whole white house shenanigans including the price of oil. I say there is a direct link, it just hasn't been exposed yet. Wait a while and youi'll know. I'm also not saying that Democrats aren't complicent in this, but since it was a repuke controlled everything untill '06' and a repuke senate that holds every bill to under the 60 votes needed to pass anything, I think this falls squarely on the shoulders of the republicans. 1.20 a gallon before Bush, 4.00 after, what say you? Believe me, it would take someone way better positioned than me to prove this theory, but being a simple man, it sounds pretty factual.

Believe me, it would take someone way better positioned than me to prove this theory, but being a simple man, it sounds pretty factual. | Well I believe its a collaboration of reasons. You know the chinese are adding 5 million cars a year to their population? They are definitely a global market contender now. Also, the world is basically at maximum capacity for producing oil, meaning, we cannot produce more barrels a day than what we are doing. So that oil is at a set amount now and it is being fought for by the entire world. Its a clichè but its true, supply and demand.
From what I have seen, from what can be proven, from what is fact, it is the liberals hindering expansion of America's independency from foreign oil and energy. Don't get me wrong, I am vaguely suspicious as well since Bush is connected to oil, however there just isn't evidence, or reason for that matter, to link him or his cabinet to the current energy crisis.

| | Zen check the facts. It took 100 years for gas to hit 1.20 and 7 years to tripple+, Is it a coincidence that it was the seven years that Bush was president???

Guilty until proven innocent I say!!! | Thats a very disappointing mentality, We. So what you basically said it is Bush's fault no matter what, despite there being no evidence. That is backwards mentality and honestly juvenile.

Over the last 7 years, China is much more mobile, the world has reached its maximum capacity, and liberals won't let us drill. Coincidence that Bush was in office during this time? Yes. It just so happened that China has caught up with the rest of the world, and believe me after Bush is gone, they will continue to put more cars in their streets.
