Now tell me that your not happy to pay such a small sum that will end up saving all of these lives. | This is pretty abstract reasoning. Pretty much says fuck the poor as the rich can afford any price. Im guessing if you're rich, then 10.00 a gallon would be nice. Get rid of a lot of drivers and make your commute that more pleasant.

| | May, you do know that some people are going without food because fuel oil is so expensive. You do know that the rise is oil prices have put many families in jeopardy of losing their homes(if they didn't foreclose already) and increasing their credit card debts because of oil prices?
You do know that this is a serious problem and is affecting many peoples life styles besides taking a break from taking a joy ride and picking up ice cream or going out for a drink. |

He and his family had to take cold showers and went without heat. Another one of my employees has a 60 mile round trip commute and is now spending every other week living w/ a fellow employee here in town because he can't afford his commute anymore. |

I wonder how much welfare and food stamps are going to go up if we don't get another alternative fuel source and gas prices stay high. |

So your 70cent bananas will be 99cents now. Everything will go up in price, keeping pace with the current gas prices. Its a serious problem and an immediate solution is necessary.

Yes, of course the over exorbitant price of fuel is inflating the cost of most every commodity. I didn't think I have to mention that since I'm surrounded by the most intelligent gentlemen on RIU
We could easily convert over to hydrogen power soon. This is what we could do:
Everyone pays a ~200 dollars or so for a hydrogen kit and installation
Everyone spend ~300 dollars on a home hydrogen generator
Thats it, than you could double your gas mileage on your present vehicle until you bought a car that ran exclusivly off of hydrogen- that you can produce in the convince of your own home. After this was the new fad, the price of oil would plummet because of supply and demand! So, not only would you get double your gas mileage, you would be paying less for fule too. This is not science fiction, this is science fact! We have the technology and its readily available just not commercially for obvious reasons. You can buy the hydrogen kits to convert your car into a hybrid, look it up on google or something. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
