| | I just read the rest of the thread, this is a good one. It warms my heart to see that there are more than a few people who make themselves aware, who understand.

I agree completely!!!! Which is why I keep saying... we need to DO AWAY with the electoral college system! FUCK... we will NEVER see anyone but a member of one of the big 2 serving as President if it doesn't change!
I'm SO SICK of the Electoral College system! It's time we move to the ONE LEGAL CITIZEN... ONE VOTE system! I want MY vote to go to the candidate of MY choice... not the popular vote of my State!
I don't buy that "small States won't get a fair shake" bullshit either! Their citizens aren't getting a fair shake now (like the rest of the States) because the votes of some aren't TRULY being counted!
ONE PERSON... ONE VOTE... no matter where you live! Let every legal citizen's vote count... and let the chips fall where they may!
FUCK THE BIG 2!

At last count, the ammendment had been introduced and failed 800+ times. |

Gee ... I wonder who's money is behind that rejection.... the list is LONG LONG LONG!
The next logical question is how do the PEOPLE get a proposed amendment on a NATIONAL ballot WITHOUT going through the low life people who are SUPPOSE to represent us in congress?
How about a PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES vs. The United States Government lawsuit? Talk about a Civil Action suit... TIME TO REVOLT!

if you need more voters in your state, than have more kids... hahaha...

TIME TO REVOLT, the "revolution war" take two..... independence day..
the great thing though is that if everyone came together we could get these fockers out of OUR white house... we let them walk all over us, there are many more of us than there are them, its just a matter of time and a breaking point for us... |

Almost since the Constitution was ratified, this amendment has been introduced several times a year. Keep in mind, the amendment has to be ratified by two thirds of the state legislatures. The last time I looked, most metropolitan counties have more population than the entire states of Alaska and Wyoming. Most state counties (parishes in Louisiana) have less than 25,000 people in them. So there is a strong pressure to vote this amendment down. Little states feel they would not receive ANY input into the election process if it were not for the Electorial College. That back-pressure has never changed, and probably never will change. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
