As to whether it'll pass...unfortunately I don't hold out much hope since our leaders (I guess they're no longer "representatives" if you get my drift) pretty much do whatever they want nowadays. Just ask my wife, Seamaiden, about the last response we got from Diane Feinstein. |

| | This is what I think. They should have introduced this bill in October. It takes at LEAST 2-3 MONTHS before it gets through unless it's the Patriot ACT, so..that would mean November comes around, and (hopefully a Dem) will get office in January. That would mean no Bush and some new congress members.
I like the fact that this bill is getting more attention because Ron Paul is cosponsored it. But they should have done this later, not now. |

| | Barney Frank is one of the sponsors of the bill. I saw him discuss it on the Bill Maher show about a month ago. He said that he didn't hold out very much hope that it will pass anytime soon ... but its a start. Vi

Throw more than one and hope that one sticks.

| | The part that I found most interesting were the results of the poll associated with article. When I grabbed the link the results were 98% yes, 2% no.... Now it's 99% yes, 1% no...... Hopefully our elected officials will actually do something the voters want. |

| | It would be so fucking awesome if it happens but even if it did i doubt my state would even relax the laws to the point of even allowing small amounts. fucking conservatives make me want to puke. but hey its not like i'm not doing it anyway.
