Those days are long gone Vi, unless the people violently revolt it will remain so.
I think it was Thomas Jefferson who said, A country needs to suffer a revolution every 20 years to keep the government honest.

So far we are 11 1/2 revolutions behind... Unless you count the Civil War..even so we are way behind.

I'm afraid your right, Dank. I was thinking about your last post last night after I signed off. I'm afraid that the Socialists, vis a vis ... the communists, have made some serious inroads into the minds of the less informed American people. they've done this mainly through the main-stream media and our education systems. Too bad ... this used to be a great country, but now we are going the way of Europe. The "modern" Republicans are just answering the call in an attempt to get elected, or to stay in office. Where are the principled people in government??
