Big brother lives. I'm way deep in the FBI files. My brother was a POW and they investigated my whole family after we got a three issue interview in "Rolling Stone" magazine in the "70"s. Plus, when you apply for a carry permit, the FBI checks you out. That's right, My brother got his picture on the cover of "Rolling Stone".

Why is anyone upset about this? The DNA collection is just one more step down the Road to Serfdom that was started long ago. Hey, did anyone of you complain when Congress passed the law that requires doctors to assign a social security (Taxpayer I.D.) number to your newborn child? No, you didn't complain because you wanted the perceived, promised benefit ... the child tax credit.
So, what's the difference between a DNA sample and the issuance of a federal I.D. number at birth?
Its been said before ... but here it is again: The preservation of Liberty requires diligence. Oh I see ... you thought liberty was a done deal, right?

Granted, it's been a while since I had my last kid, but it's not the docs who are required to get that SS#. Parents are required, by law, OR you don't get to claim the wee one.
And, while I generally agree with your stance here, there is a HUGE difference between a number assigned from outside your body and LE getting to know you more intimately than you know yourself. There's a huge difference between having a piece of me and knowing my number.
