Yes it has cause a shortage in Grains to produce Alcohol..... Since Brewing is one of my hobbies it puts a pinch on my hobby.
The way they are going about making ethanol isn't a very good one, it cost just as much energy to produce ethanol with corn as it makes. sugar beets and cellulose would be a better option.

What about hemp. Someone brought that up in another thread, hemp the wonderplant. From getting stoned to making biofuel, it is a wonder, paper, clothing, all kinds of beneficial things. I have also heard that hemp is easy on the soil, I do really believe that the current state of Biofuel gathering is a blight on the society as a whole.

Its a blight all right. As long as the corn lobby keeps donating to the campaign coffers of our politicians, the "blight" will be with us.

Remember ... the Fair Tax gets rid of lobbyists.

the government is fucking stupid they know hemp has all these uses but they pretend to stand on moral ground and look the other way. the problem is they don't have morals or even know what moral values are. its like trying to argue with a brick wall. i personally wish the oil would dry up because thats the only thing that might shake them awake.

Oh No, lose my precious rides, what an adjustment. I'm sure I'll have to give them up someday. My grand daughters have their eyes on my hotrod, actually one wants my truck and the other wants my hotrod. So I guess I'll have to check out around their 16th birthdays. By then, we'll have to take a second out on the house to fill the tanks.

I'd sure like to get that water converter. Free travel. Even with my little travel I spend about 100.00 a mo on gasoline, that is about a tankful at todays prices. My last trip cost 400.00 in gas, this summers trip will excede 600.00, and I'm sure those oil barons need the money worse than me,~LOL~.
