Default Big Bill goes for Obama

SANTA FE, N.M. - New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, the nation's only Hispanic governor, is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama for president, calling him a "once-in-a- lifetime leader" who can unite the nation and restore America's international leadership.
Richardson, who dropped out of the Democratic race in January, is to appear with Obama on Friday at a campaign event in Portland, Ore., The Associated Press has learned.
The governor's endorsement comes as Obama leads among delegates selected at primaries and caucuses but with national public opinion polling showing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton pulling ahead of him amid controversy over statements by his former pastor.

Richardson is nothing more than a political whore looking for a Vice President spot.

Another former crewmember jumps off of the old SS Clinton.
This ship is listing badly. And I think she is going to sink soon.
Great stuff indeed!!

Come on. Like a black presidential candidate is going to go with a hispanic running mate. Richardson could be looking for Secretary of State however. He bumps up Obama's foreign policy portfolio.

What would be wrong with a Hispanic VP? A bigger mistake on Obama's part, in my opinion, would be to have a female running mate.

Now then ... the best thing McCain could do would be to have Condi Rice as a VP running mate. Any thoughts on that?

I like Richardson. Most dems would like the ticket. I just think the volatile swing voters would say hmm no white guy? The flavor's too weird and they are already shell-shocked by the woman/black guy choice thing. As for McCain/Rice, noooo. She's too associated with Bush's foreign policy, which wouldn't bother loyal Republicans (those who don't hate McCain as a maverick anyway) but once again those volatile swing voters would see her as an evil vector of neoconservative foreign adventurism. Plus, McCain needs propping up more on economic matters than foreign policy. McCain would love a woman on his ticket but probably not CR. Anyway, it's not critical. The way things are shaping up I think McCain is going to squeak into the White House regardless of who his opponent or running mate is.
Condi can't really play without being elected to something first. My guess is she'll get a sweet teaching job next year and clean up on the lecture circuit.

jeez, I was starting to feel hurt. Ask for an opinion and then just ignore my response. Until now. All is forgiven. And thanks. I will keep posting as long as civility comes my way!.
