he once picked up "rubbish and paper products" from a football field.

OMFG.

“I remember once we had a football game at my high school and the football field afterwards was covered with all sorts of rubbish and paper goods from people who had a big celebration there at the game. There was a group of us that was assigned to clean it up. And I thought, ‘How are we going to clean up all the mess on this football field?’ And there were just a few of us. And the person responsible for organizing the effort said, ‘Just line up along the yard lines. You go between the goal line and the 10-yard line and the next person between 10 and 20, and then just walk through and do your lane. And if everybody cleans their lane, we’ll be able to get the job done.’ "

I wonder how he's going to do that with an 800 mile swath of debris and flood water. Sometimes I get the uncontrollable urge to punch Romney dead in the face with the hopes that it jars something loose..... like intelligence...

He'll divide it into 10-yard strips. 100 people per strip, and bing-a-rino! He's created jobs for 47% of us. I hang my jaw in awe. cn

I just don't see how this thread is relevant to politics. I understand Romney is running for office, but what does this have to do with anything?
Isn't it worth a shot to see what he can bring to the table? Energy independence sounds a lot better than 90$ billion in green energy Solyndra A123 subsidies. Electric car manufacturing jobs in Finland for cars costing well over 50 grand. Its not practical for the middle class

Hey Flounder, it was an analogy...

His point was that as one person looking at the situation he could not imagine how the job could get done. However, with everyone pitching in and a little organization it was possible...

Now, either you are flat out stupid or being purposely obtuse. You choose....

nice analogy.

cleaning up after one of the worst hurricanes in US history is kind of like picking up "rubbish and paper products" from a football field.

tell that to the workers who will scrub salt water off thousands of miles of subway wiring.
