Damn, you are right again. But by cutting down the rainforests, the existing plant life can't convert all the co2 into oxygen so the levels are increasing and driving up the temperature, Capiche. SM may be right. if we all could grow marijuana forests, then there would be enough plant life to convert all the co2 into oxygen. Is anyone really arguing that temps are not rising? Is man a gross polluter in all ways including cutting down forests for profit and farming? Untill someone tells me that I have to pay a tax on carbon, (could happen), I'll believe man Is contributing to Global warming, and even if they do tax me, I'll still believe that 5-6 billion people, and growing, has to have a hand in global warming. I guess I'm just stubborn and believe what I see on TV like rainforests burning and Ice caps melting, glaciers dissapearing and species dieing. Somethings happening and I'm pretty sure man is a little bit culpable.

"The New Zealand Government proposed flatulence tax in 2003, but it was later disregarded after many protests. A major reason it was disregarded was because it is an organic by product, and if taxes and other livestock is taxed, what’s stopping the government from putting a flatulence tax on humans? I feel that all aspects of this dilemma have to be studied in order to understand the effects that all organisms have on methane’s role in the Greenhouse Effect."

i didnt know what Bovine flatulence was so i did a quick search and came up with an article, and this is a quote from it..

they want to tax everything! its cows farting for focks sake.... lmao.... wtf.. tax this, tax that, tax the tax on the tax!!!

Vi redd wasn't kidding about progressive taxation!! lol if there is a problem tax tax tax tax!!!

Antarctica is getting colder. China just had their coldest winter in years. The southern hemisphere of the earth has been cooling off a lot lately..

As far as the glaciers.. ugh.. I'm so sick of hearing about that.. every year NORMALLY at the north pole, ice the size of the UNITED STATES melts and freezes. Every fucking year. They take a picture of a glacier melting the size of Texas, and everyone's like ooooohhh nooo. Because they are unaware of this information..they think 'hey, Texas is pretty fucking big'. Then they think the sky must be falling. LOL.. Ice melts and freezes every year, always has..

From our geological records of the past- temperature always goes up before co2 rises.. this time has been no different.. But why does no one ask 'what's the big deal if it gets a couple degrees hotter?' The plants will be able to thrive at higher temperatures with added co2 (as growers we know this too). With that there would be more oxygen, which then we could perform better in hotter temperatures- what do they give the tired hot football player on the sidelines sometimes? Oxygen..

I don't know about you people, but I want more oxygen. We have much less of it in our air than we have in the past.. but what's most alarming is the side effect on the brain from less oxygen -sleep apnea, poor concentration, forgetfulness, mood swings, restlessness, depressive thoughts and low drive. Funny, might just be me.. but I would swear there seems to be more of that now than in the past..

i think the plants that photosynthesize co2 act as a buffer for our atmosphere. the more co2, the faster they grow and more co2 they can absorb, and the converse is true too(less co2, less growths and oxygen they produce)..

so, to me it seems like these relationships hold true; more co2 makes hastier plant growth to combat the extra co2, and less co2 impedes plant growth and thusly never completely depleting co2 from the air...

lol, i hope that made sense to you guys. but candidly, i believe plants are the buffer to keep the co2 levels in check.
without plants we will not have this buffer and the rate of co2 changes would rapidly increase.

Right, but it's more than a buffer.. they change the co2 into oxygen..

More oxygen for us means more endurance, more energy, and higher mental alertness.

It's a win win for everyone.. except someone who doesn't want everyone to excel..

exactly right...

i was just trying to point out that we do need a certain amount of co2 in our air in order for our plants to survive.

the plants will not be able to rid all of the co2 because the plants would cease to grow b4 that could happen.

i was also pointing out that when the co2 levels increase(and there is sufficient amount of plants, NOT like a city) the plants will absorb the extra co2 and balance the co2/air ratio...

as long as we have enough plants in our world than we should never have an excess amount of co2 because the plants act as a buffer. plants enable us to have a happy medium of co2/air ratio...

idk, maybe i should smoke some more herb...

the words "symbiotic relationship" comes to mind when i think of plants and things that produce co2 Symbiosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia..... they need us for our co2 just as much as weed need them for oxygen

I will fight a flatulence tax to my dying breath! It discriminates against the elderly. Don't believe it? Ask Med.

Well, if we need more plants, then why aren't you all upset about the dissapearing forests??? I mean good luck with trying to convince the PTB that we need to grow marijuana forests. I guess I'm just too fucking dense to understand your reasoning. Glaciers are not only melting like they have for thousands of years, they are receding and dissapearing altogether. they aren't freezing and growing back. The penguins are moving farther south as it is too warm in their old habitat. The eskimos are getting swamped by rising seas and you all say, no worries, it's just a normal cycle. Well folks, it may be, but it's not one seen since recorded history.

Well folks, it may be, but it's not one seen since recorded history. At least with modern instruments. The views from space show great deviation in the polar ice, the galciers. Greenland is melting for Christs sake, and you say, "no worries". Well in my little pea-brain that sets off alarm bells. So, when will you guys pull your heads out???
