They are all in cahoots. It just goes to show, and prove my point. I love how Al Gore left out most of the REAL facts, so he could scare the whole world into believing we shouldn't breath because we are emitting a dire gas called co2 that is going to end the world if we don't put a carbon tax on it, so our nights in shinning armor (the gov't... I'm being sarcastic of course) can come save the day.. But they need more of our money to find a remedy to the problem. HAHA what a joke!

Global warming is happening, but its not because of co2 driving temps. Its mostly because of the sun. Mars polar ice caps (which consist mostly of dried ice) are also melting, go figure!

I believe the earth is constantly changing. The temperatures have shifted gradually over the eons. The earth has been warmer than today and colder than today.

Man made global warming is a global wealth redistribution scheme designed to destroy capitalism. Man makes carbon, sure. But man-made carbon is a mere fraction of the 'greenhouse gases' in the atmosphere. Trees produce more greenhouse gases than man. Cow farts produce tons of methane.

Is transition away from petroleum a good idea? Hell yes.

Programs like the Kyoto Protocol and the motives behind it are my beef.

Why do you think GW would "destroy capitalism"? I know they wanted to implement a "carbon tax" on co2 producing entities like gasoline(further increasing the price of fuel/transportation and heating/bills)! I don't exactly see how that would destroy capitalism, but I do see how it would make the rich people richer and the poor people poorer.

Look at the U.N. proposals to correct global warming and you'll see what I mean. Some advocate direct payments, filtered through the U.N., to 3rd world shitholes to mitigate the effects of global warming on their populations. Global justice.

I mentioned Kyoto which is a prime example. It placed considerable restrictions on the industrialized world, but largely ignored the rest of the world. India and China got a free pass while the U.S. would have to make enormous changes to our industry in order to comply. Costing billions upon billions of dollars which would directly affect our economy - badly.

Coming our way if Al Gore and his ilk get their way is a carbon footprint tax on every individual on earth. A government goon squad will pay you a visit to determine your contribution of carbon into the environment and tax you accordingly. This will be enforced through the U.N., payments to be made to The World Bank. Comply, or you will be arrested by World Environmental Police and tried in The World Court. A light sentence will be handed out, usually a simple warning for a first offense ... Unless, of course, you are a White Christian Male, in which case, you will be executed via firing squad at sunup the day after conviction.

I'm tellin' ya, those Nobel Prizes, issued by the fascist leaning Nobel Committee have merit!
