I will insinuate the media treated Obama much more gently once Hillary was dispatched than any other candidate. Nobody wants to be called a racist.

I see this happening with that plan, was just showing another in the myriad of options. I'm in favor mostly of a consumption tax, a production tax is counterproductive to me, penalizing production seems immoral. However, with my plan I could see a tax-free black market rise up with increased crime.

I really think the best plan hasn't been presented yet, that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to do better.

I recall something far different than you, accusations of his marxism, his communism, his socialism, his paling around with social radicals, his real estate deals, his Chicago politics, his origins and his birth certificate to name a very few.

I am certain we could do better, I am certain that if Romney showed his taxes and they proved to be as minimal as some of us supect it would go a long way toward reform.

Not a fan of that term. If I bought a new flat screen for the bedroom, 10 years from now I need a new flat screen. If I buy gold instead, sacrificing the flat screen, 10 years from now I've made a profit, why is that unearned?

I still think if capital gains are your sole source of income then it should be taxed as income. This would stop the BS of CEOs taking a salary of 1$ to avoid a higher tax rate. But if a middle class peon like me makes sacrifices so I can make good financial decisions I shouldn't be penalized.

any criticism of Obama was labelled and is still labelled (although to a lesser extent) as racist. I've seen you do it on these boards. The first thought was the only POSSIBLE reason for criticizing the great Obama is because you are a racist. It's a tired, worn out card, but it's still played.

There are many white people who dislike Obama for philosophical reasons, I will guess those people do not think he is a secret Muslim who’s plotting the downfall of America. Dislike or disagreement does not mean hate, unless you are a person who thinks your country is being taken away from you by a politician with a funny name and a skin color that freaks you out.
The modern-day hatemongers are using Islam as a tool to deflect from what they really fear, light brown, dark brown and black people infiltrating their white society.
If it ever existed, the America of Norman Rockwell is long gone, just like all-white baseball, basketball, college football and all-white politics. America has changed and will continue to do so.
It is a popular notion that “The World Hates America.” I’m not sure how true that threadbare phrase is, but this “Obama is a Muslim” crowd and the politicians who pander to them, “Hate the World.” When France refused to go along with the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and was extremely vocal in opposition at the UN, “French Fries” became “Freedom Fries” and the banning of French cheese and wine was encouraged. If you are not with us, you are against us and if you don’t look like us, and you don’t Obama, you must be a Muslim.

I think I stated here that FOX is my primary news source during elections especialy. I can't afford to watch MSNBC because I would get a distorted view of what the right is up to.

Unfortunately, I have found that a lot of criticism of Obama is rooted in a strange sort of racism. what happens often is that racists who don't even realize they are, hide behind the "freedom of political speech"

where's Dr. Kynes when we need him. I can't think of the name of the Emperor that stated "know thy enemy like you know thyself". I channel flip a lot during the news cycles because it's fascinating how many ways the same story can be spun in the name of ratings.

Well, years later, some republican governors are asking to be excluded from that provision. They have said that they have better ways to manage welfare in their states. Obama said OK. The said they had better ways to do it. He, in the spirit of not being a partisan a-hole, granted these republican governors their wish.

Now, the most recent attack on Obama, is that he has eliminated the federal provision in the law that says you can only receive welfare for 1 year... Allowing people to stay on welfare for as long as they want. Lazy people can now stay on welfare forever. They also point out that Clinton, a democrat, enacted these reforms... and now this guy is destroying them. See democrats... you can't trust Obama either.

It is a total lie by Mitt Romney. This man will say anything, lie about anything, and try to be anyone in his quest for power.

The congress specifically took action to prevent the ability to remove work from the requirements. Obama yet again used an unconstitutional executive order to do an end run around congressional law.

For a constitutional scholar he sure doesnt respect it very much.

Where did you get this understanding and why would any president tamper with welfare to work? Now please don't tell me
that it is to garner votes. The essential thing is that if the state does not move 20 percent of it's welfarians to work, they lose their waiver.
