So a kid sits in a classroom all day long and if they don't learn a thing it's the fault of a person who wasn't even there.

Well, no, not really. The parent still has to pull the figurative teeth from the kid and find out about the lesson plan and the homework and engage. It's in the fine print. cn

I got a stepchild with a high school diploma who can't even add and can barely read. How he advanced from grade to grade without learning basics is beyond me.

parenting has to be at the top of the list of factors in a child's success or failure.

Who teaches homeschool?

We had first class teaches in the schools. We were learning when we went there. Just can't buy that argument. Everything is pass the buck these days. Yes parents heavily influence their children. If children do not go to school to learn and earn an education, why else then would they go, aside from learning how to interact with others their own age? Public schools these days resemble prisons.
