| | alright man... lol I'm sure if we could we would enjoy blunts and beers together and debate all night. I do that all the time. But please don't try and play the sympathy card on me. I have been on my own since 16, my mom and dad still live in my area but I have just recently started mending my relationship with my dad. I went without insurance from 16-19. I dropped out of high school to work full time. I went back to school in the winter while layed off from construction, but couldn't collect unemployment while going to school full time. I wasn't elegable for financial aid because I was still considered a dependent of my parents till age 25. I worked 2 jobs went to school full time and was able to pull off my AA. Like I said before I still work 2 jobs just to pay my bills and am still looking to go back for my bachelors. If you want healthcare work harder and earn it.....
Peace and love to all you

I read your earlier posts so I get that you work....and as such your employer is a SHIT if they didn't offer you a health plan........but even if the don't... you signed up for the job KNOWING what the employer offered.... so why exactly do you think you are entitled to free healthcare?

| | forgot to add that I am a cali medical marijuana patient. I aquired my medical card after being Hit/ran over by a truck with no insurance... I still am making monthly payments from that. I could of tried to sue the man that hit me, but I felt it was my fault in that circumstance even though the courts would of probably sided with me because I was a pedestrion.

Y'all want free healthcare for everyone????? Are you sure about that? Free only means free to those who FREELOAD off the system (includes illegals too). You want a "socialized" system? ROFL... let me tell you this... you won't get to go to the front of the line even if you work and ACTUALLY contribute.... nope... you will be stuck in a government controlled line... right behind the illegal who paid for NOTHING but is riding on your tax dollars!
TO those naysayers I would ask this "do you actually work in the healthcare industry ....and understand it from EVERY aspect?" I do... and I do! ANYONE who thinks government controlled (aka socialized) healthcare is where we need to go is FUCKING IGNORANT BEYOND BELIEF! But hey...y'all keep voting for it... and it will soon come to pass...... and it will be a clusterfuck of UNIMAGINALBE proportions.....
In fact I'm kinda looking forward to it..... Stupid fucks voting for what they know nothing about.... and waking up later to find out they SHIT where they live! | I don't get the opposition to free health care I'm canadian. The politicians say your taxes
will go up. In canada minium wage is 8$ per hour , thats $ 320 per wk. after taxes take home 280. I've had 3 hip replacements, 2 shoulder ops, 1 knee op, append. op , tonsil op & 2 minor ops, guess what I paid ? 00000 If I was in the states I'd be living on the street by now. Your problem is that ass bush, he's pro rich & fuck the small guy, anything that would make a poor persons life better , won't be allowed on his watch.
Now our PM harper has got that same stupid smirk on his face as bush always has when he's hosing people. I'd like to " extreme rendition BUSH , HARPER & and ever soo pleasnt cheney to taliban town, the world would be better off " IMO

| | Here's the deal with universal health care. First, yeah, you'll likely pay a little more in taxes, But, and this is a big but, You'll not have any insurance premiums or co-pays. It would probably balance out if you took the big xcorporations out of it and had not for profit health care, the only way to fly. Why should coporations be making profit on your illness? Most of the paid people in health care would retain their positions, just the greedy stockholders and CEOs would be out. Insurance employees could transfer to the government health care and have a lot better perks. This system works remarkably well in many countries accross the globe, in fact we are the only 1st world country without universal health care of some kind. Proof of citizenship should be required for treatments. No sneaking accross the border for treatments. The main people against this are high paid execs in the insurance industry or the HMOs, Doctors that don't understand the benefits, (See hippocratic oath), and rich right wing assholes that basically hate humanity and think everyone is trying to get their money, (See ViRedd).

^^^^^ That is what Britain is like today. I work my ass off and pay my £700 a month on tax for me to walk into a hospital last week after being bit by mates Akita to be told to wait in line. I know for a fact there was a number of people in ther on benifits but some idiot next to me who went first was sitting saying to his girl ''hope this gets me another week off paid'' I felt like knocking the nugget out!!
