Mine is simple, first I am a Republican, with that said I hear my own reps slamming the Pres for not letting the Pipeline go through. I called my Senator and two other officals and got the same answer. 95 percent of that oil is earmarked for export to Aisa. Our EPA standards wont allow it to be refined and or burned in the US. When they tell you that it will help us lessen dep on the Middle East they are just lying.
David Dewhurst office called here and asked me to sign a pettition, I asked the girl if she knew the Oil would be exported, she put me on hold and transfered me to a supervisor. He put me on hold, came back and said, Oh well we are not for that so I will pass this on.
Two days later they called again and asked me to sign the thing. I asked if there was any talk of what I told them two days ago. She put me on hold and once again transfered me to another supervisor that put me on hold and never came back.
I am sure there is a lot of other things bothering you about stuff in general so sound off.
It also pisses me off that my GF has terrible PMS and wont go see someone for it so I am pretty much on my own for two weeks a month. One pms week and one period week. lol This gets me madder than the damm pipeline.

LOL what pisses me off the most is that people have no fucking clue what goes on in the world in a financial sense. I suppose things like LIBOR and 'Capital weighted EBT returns' and 'quick ratio' and things of that nature are so foreign to most that the information out there just flies right out over their heads. I understand that, but what I don't get is how people think this borrow more than you earn can go on forever without us ever having to pay the piper. How many people here know what happens to the deficit in ONE YEAR if rates on the 10 year bond go to 3%, anyone?
There are some very scary things that go bump in the night out there in the financial/economic world and no one really ever talks about it, instead we bicker over what bill is a republican sponsored one or how many democrats have rich wives or how nice Obama looks with a blue tie. Most of it is just bullshit, people rarely want to tackle some of the real problems in this country, problems that affect every single one of us in ways you can't imagine. In 2009 there were only something like 350 banks on the FDIC watch list, today there are over 900, last year that number never exceeded 830. The funniest thing is that in the beginning of the debt crisis they would shut a bank down if capital to debt ratios were at 20%, today they let them ride out until the ratio is TWO PERCENT!! Just how long the finger in the dike remains to hold back the tsunami of bad debt is unknown. Most of us know something is wrong, but most cannot grasp the concept of how great the threat really is.
We don't talk about it.

Along those lines I agree, excelent statment, it pisses me off when I hear somone on TV say, well Nokia has a book value or BOA has a book value of x becasue of the patents and real property they own. Stick with them they are worth it etc. Lets take a bank that is closing branch after branch, those closed branch offices stay on the balance sheet as an asset. This goes on with lots of companies. Mean while the property sits there for sale and is not worth what they say on their balance sheet that it is worth.
Companies are valued and we buy their stock when in reality if they had to sell everything tomorrow it might be worth 25 percent of what they state if they are lucky. Things are only worth what the market will bring, not what you wrote in an earnings statement.

Less than 25 percent of all imported oil comes from the middle east and the majority of it comes from the more stable region of Saudi Arabia. While it would be prudent to be self reliant in our energy use, this pipeline isn't really a factor in middle eastern oil one way or another.
What pisses me off about "what is going on"? That we are using oil at all and that we are doing so little to change that dynamic. That we have abandoned our space program, that we don't have a single payer health care system, that the banking industry is taking advantage of everyone individualy and collectively and that my tomatoes are being eaten by locust.

And what pisses me off even more is that the price of e-books is still $10 to $15 each.
