Ive had lots of pet turtles. I only have 1 now tho. I use to have more and they had a big ass tank with live food at all times and shit...

I really want a tortoise, it would be nice to have something you could pass down to you kids when you die.

Here in LA there is a surplus of tortoises and turtles.

You could also consider a bird, like a macaw or cockatoo.. those live human lifespans as well

I used to have this little bird, was like 20$ from Pet Smart, the ones with the red cheeks (forgot the name) but I was irresponsible with it and let it roam around alot, needless to say, my then dog ended up killing it, was a gruesome scene. I would like to get a parrot one day but unfortunately I don't have 2 grand laying around lol.
