Could lives have been saved had Colorado not banned concealed carry?
Many believe so, even police officers themselves.
I live in one of the only two states that have no provision for concealed carry by permitted civilians. A researcher who tracks concealed carry statistics claims several potential mass murders are stopped each year by legally armed civilians, often without a shot being fired. Most of these mass killers are frightened little boys trying to make themselves famous as they go out in a blaze of glory. When confronted by a confident, armed adversary, many such shooters surrender with little more than a whimper.

I'm all for owning a gun but I don't think its a good idea to be carrying one around with you. Too many unstable people out there.
lol!
Do you know how difficult it is to make a head shot? I imagine the foot would be even more difficult. Anybody who had ever had ANY firearms training is trained to aim for "center mass" (the chest/abdomen). This is the best way to stop a violent subject and have the best chance of hitting your target.![]()

Most vests won't stop a round from an AR-15/M-4 assault rifle, something MOST cops carry in their patrol cars thanks to the North Hollywood shootout. Even if one wasn't available, most soft vests will only stop 1, maybe 2 rounds..........and it's like being hit in the chest with a sledge hammer by Barry Bonds! lol!

Even if he was wearing body armor and somebody double tapped him in the chest, it would have knocked him down or at least stunned him momentarily. Enough of a distraction to subdue him.
