ireland has quite a lot of immigration these days. with a sufficient tan i make a passable mexican. and denying a mexican's immigration status is racist.

They can tax you. What do you think back taxes, and tax penalties are? In America, you generally can not escape taxes if you plan on having any sort of a life. Sure you can file bankruptcy and clear the taxes, but that is not the most ideal solution to not paying taxes.

Back to that fine old narrative "the bad old government will put you in a cage if you don't pay your taxes". Except that is not done. You always have a choice, nor will you get "further charges" for defending yourself in court. You are not being cohersed into an agreement with your employer and the federal government that some of the monies paid you are to be held back or kept in order that you pay your share of the money it takes to maintain this country.

refusing to pay taxes, any taxes will result in criminal charges for fraud, or contempt of court charges,, and eventually prison time, or a reckless shootout with federal agents.

al capone didnt go to jail for racketeering, murders or criminal enterprises, he went to prison for not paying his taxes on said enterprises.

al capone. prison. tax evasion. that ruins your assertion right there. refusal to pay taxes whether through fraud or open disobedience can does and WILL result in prison time.

they dont go to all that trouble over a parking ticket (of which only $25 is a fine, the rest is fees, assessments and "use taxes") but when the ticket remains unpaid for long enough, and the "not quite a fine" is big enough a bench warrant will be issued, and if upon showing up in shackles before the bench you say "I aint paying that shit" then you WILL be bundled up neatly and shipped off to the nearest convenient prison.
