Default Corporations outsourcing jobs to outher countries

our own major corporations are contributing to the recession just to save a few bucks!! Not only do they take away jobs from honest and hard working Americans, but they take advantage of poor people in other places by making them work for next to nothing. Ive seen the effects of this up close. I used to live in northern Illinois in a city called Sterling. The largest steel mill in the world was located there. When the company decided to move all production to asia to reduce costs, half the ppl in town became unemployed. It was pretty sad.

Yeah but its very hard to do anything about this, the government can't tell a business how they must run. They could tax them more but it would be unconstitutional and thrown out of court that's the reason they point at the problem but never do anything. We are going to have a hard time competing with countries that work a lot cheaper and have very little safety regulations. Yeah it's bad, but if the businesses competition is doing it that have little choice, you either join or fail. Business operate to make the most gain possible, that makes some people angry but it's the nature of the beast anything else is leaning socialist and just about all Americans don't want that.

    1) business must follow laws and regulations. so the government does tell businesses how to run to a certain extent.

    2) the reason protective tariffs aren't more widely used is not because they are unconstitutional. it's because they don't work because other countries just enact protective tariffs of their own.

    3) if america as a nation decides you know what? fuck made in china/taiwan/korea. i'm buying made in the usa PERIOD. the demand would be there for jobs to come back. no matter how cheap making goods elsewhere is....

I'm saying, when Americans decide to be a patriotic and pay more than twice as much for products made in the USA than we do products made in China, then they can bitch, until they put their own money where their mouth is, they need to STFU.

This is why it cost more to make it here, not a little in most cast 5x -10x. It's cheaper to send the material to another country have them make it and send it back and its still cheaper.

OK still a moot point to try and do anything about, yes?

Made in the USA is a little deceptive, I will post the link to the regulations below. A good law would be require 100% all parts and craftsmanship required to earn the sticker made in the USA but it isn't.

I remember when shit was actually made in America. Shit was built to last back then.... Now everything is cheap and of poor quality. I would love to buy American...sadly nothing is really made here anymore. Go into walmart and you will see exactly what I mean.

You're blaming American capitalism for what the left in this country created.
It was America's appeal for a globalized market back in the late 1970s and 80s, I remember it all too well.
Now look what we've got ourselves into. Given the choice, most consumers will opt for lower prices regardless of where the product is made.

Let me see you start up a company in America that pays union wages, while paying US taxes and operating under US regulations and compete with China while turning a profit my friend.

You can't even pull that off with a non-union minimum wage company.
