Are you with your buddy Bucky who claims we can fix crony capitalism with government regulations? LMAO

Crony capitalism? HA! In what time period, in which country has there not been such a thing as using influence to make money and using money to get influence? What is your point here? Regulations can and do reduce it, or do you not want to compare how we do business in America with how business is commonly done in Mexico?

Go right ahead, please tell me how my supply of rocks in my backyard can promote demand.

Hey, I've literally been in this position. About five years ago when we were building custom homes, during the excavation of one of the houses we pulled out over 200 ton of large moss rock. I had the rock trucked to my yard and put an add in the news paper, we sold almost every bit of it.

Had I kept the rock in yard and did not advertise it, I'd still have it.

Now, you tell me how the demand of a manufactured product can be produced, transported and sold without the means of capital and suppliers.

I don't have moss rock, I have rock, the same exact rock that exists behind my house and is dumped in areas where there is no law against dumping - rock. The demand is not of "a manufactured product", it is simply demand. No one says "I really really need... a manufactured product". you are going to have to be more specific.

My understanding is that VAT is assessed on every transaction, basically a sales tax. It's in addition to income taxation.
I personally find double taxation an offensive practice. Trouble is, VAT without income taxation is regressive because it leaves capital gains completely untouched, which is a bias in favor of all those with not just money but capital.
A completely flat income tax is fair to a first approximation, but I would prefer a step-flat system that flatly taxes all income above a given poverty line. cn

Just about all rock is marketable my friend.

Are we discussing supply and demand and the free market, or personal survival?

How about, computers, iphones, ipads, automobiles, bicycles, canned foods, firearms, ammunition, televisions, etc. Take your pick.

How marketable would that rock be if nobody wanted to buy it?
